Vocation Stories Project

1

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Open to all Priest, Contemplative and Active Nuns, Religious Priests, Religious Brothers, Seminarians and Ex Seminarians of the Catholic Church who has an authentic and interesting vocation story to tell.

There is no limitation to length and style of the story, as long as you feel that it can somehow help promote vocations to priesthood and the religious life and aid in the discernment process of our brothers and sisters who are contemplating in responding to their respective vocations. The story can either be Tagalog or English. There is no requirement for the tone of the story, but if it is comedic, joyful and reflects happiness, much better. Vocation is a celebration of God’s calling so the story must also reflect a joyous tone or at least the solemnity that each vocation deserves.

Be creative in writing your vocation stories without altering or distorting any truth or fact from your personal vocation story.

Other Requirements: The webmaster however require these things in order for your story to be published.

  • 2 photos: I headshot and one in your habit or seminarian vestment at least the size of friendster photos (600×450 pixel)
  • (Optional) Photos for the photo gallery you can send significant photos of your personal history and vocation journeys so that other’s may see what you are talking about. Maximum of 30 photos, minimum of twelve. (at least 600×450 pixels) in size
  • Aside from the vocation story, include some pertinent details about you, your past and present data. A friendster profile is a good guide in providing the details.
  • (Optional) Include your friendster account address and active email address for correspondence
  • Include also the title of your favorite vocation song, or any song that is memorable to your vocation, the author will insert it as a background music to your story. If your song is somewhat unfamiliar and hard to find, you have the option to send an mp3 file to the webmaster.
  • (Optional) Include the URL (web address) of your blog if you have any.

And that’s it. you already have a vocation story for OTWOMD’s “The Voice” series.

Are you already decided to share your story to the world? Then what are you waiting for Por Dios Por Santo! Contact Me Now (CLICK HERE) and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

You might also want to see other vocation stories that were already featured here in OTWOMD for your information and guidance in submitting your story.

You can help other people discern their vocations by witnessing to the mystery and magnanimity of the Lord’s call. There is no reward given to the chosen author of the story here on earth, but instead, the reward will be in heaven.

Hello brother. yes yes anyone who has the vocation to serve the Lord is welcome to tell their story. Though this is intended for religious and priestly vocations yet i will make an exemption for you brother. I am willing to post your story. anyhow just give me a valid email. I replied to the email you gave here but my letter was sent back by yahoo. I do not know if your email is sent on private or there is a missing character on your email.

Kapatid, babae po si Owence. Ergo, “sister” hindi “brother”. He he! Well, I don’t think she minds anyway…

She is a very good friend who was once a co-facilitator/lecturer/counselor in my former organization RCW.

Do you already have her correct e-mail add? If you need it still, just give me a shout & I could send it to you as a private e-mail.

    CIAO! GOD BLESS!

haha naku sory sory, kala ko lalake eh. May kaibigan kasi ako na Owen ang pangalan kaya napagkamalan ko. Anyhow i was strucked when she mentioned that “she is a lay missionary”. never really thought about that. Hindi ko alam na may ganun pa pala ngayon.

Brods, my mails are not getting through to her, it keeps on coming back. maybe you can send me via email her “correct” email address. maybe she made a mistake typing it. I will appreciate it very much kapatid.

By The way, musta pasko mo dyan? sama mo ako sa intention mo sa simbang gabi kapatid ha, kailangan ko talaga eh.
