How to put up your own home office

Remember when I told you that I wanted to overhaul my home office? Well someone just emailed me and asked me on how to actually put-up a home office because he was having a hard time organizing his own room. He wanted however to separate the office stuff from his personal pleasure. So I decided in giving a brief primer on how to have your own home office. I am very much attracted to home office stuff since I really like the feeling of having my office work done in my very own home. First thing one has to consider is the place or nook for your own home office. You do not have to build another room in order to put up the office; a nook with an adequate space would be enough. Of course, the office furniture you have to acquire should be based on the space available on your room. We do not want to clutter your own room with too much furniture.
Having considered the space in your home, now you are ready to choose from a wide variety of furniture, which will be essential and useful for your home office. For starters, you should have the following basic furniture: Computer tables and chairs, management chairs, office desk, filing cabinets, bookcases, pedestals, and office cupboards. Computer tables and chairs are essential for your computer and printers while office desk and management chairs gives you comfort and ease in talking to visitors, clients and prospective business partners. Others actually merge them both. However, it is much better to separate your computer from your office desk especially if you still have enough space on your room. On the other hand, bookcases, filing cabinets and pedestals are relevant for your documents. You do not want to lose them in clutter right? One tip for choosing bookcases is that it should be made of wood and not hardboard. There are actually two options of a bookcase. One is the premium, which has a wooden back, and the other is the price point, which does not have any. Yet both are very tough and strong. For filing cabinets, you should choose the one with a 25 mm thick tops with 2 mm edging if you are eyeing for wooden filing cabinets. Nevertheless, for me, I would rather choose the metal filing cabinet because it is more secure especially when accidental fires try to burn your documents.
