A Blogger’s Prayer Spanish Translation - Oración del Blogger

Last year when I was busy tweaking my blog in time for its launching, I googled the cyberspace to see if there is any existing prayers for bloggers. Until I stumbled on Fr. Cuying’s blog and read his magnificent Prayer. This was also the time that I witnessed here in the blogosphere how a young priest, whose blog is not monetized and who just accomplished what he was requested to do, was ganged up by the high and mighty hyenas of Manila just because he said this very same prayer in the Philippine Blog Awards of 2007 (It’s another story i tell you). Fr. Cuying did not retaliate but instead quietly carried the cross on his shoulders. I saw in Him, through his docility and meekness, the authenticity of the Prayer he wrote that’s why from then on I became his constant lurker and reader, adding morsels of meaning to my journey by just reading from his blog. And time fly so fast that at this very same month last year, I was still a newbie in the commercial blogosphere reading the entry of Fr. Cuying, and for the very first time, meeting the most hideous creatures of the Manila High and Mighty blogger monsters. If you want to be protected from the evil hyenas of the blogosphere, then say the prayer with me. Fr. Cuying wrote it in English, Tagalog and Spanish. Sayang walang latin kasi mas epektib daw ito sabi ng matatanda laban sa mga impaktong bloggers sa twitterlandia haha. So here is the Spanish version of Fr. Cuying’s Oración del Blogger (Of course with his special permission to repost this).
Tú que eres tan compasivo, fiel, amoroso; Tú eres nuestro Padre. Te pedimos que engrandezcas nuestra fe y nuestro amor hacia ti, y así podamos usar los blogs como instrumentos para cumplir con tus propósitos. Debemos convertirnos en bloggers de verdad y promotores de la paz.
Ayúdanos a ser firmes en nuestra responsabilidad de cristianos y así nuestros visitantes encuentren en nuestros blogs una fuente de ánimo e inspiración. Danos fuerza para proclamar tu Palabra, que podamos tomar parte en destruir los muros de la hostilidad en el mundo y usar los blogs para fortalecer los vínculos de la amistad, la solidaridad y el amor.
Haz nuestro corazón sumiso y honesto para que podamos tratar a nuestros lectores como amigos, no sólo como clientes, para que podamos luchar por ser mejores… para que podamos encontrar tiempo de aliviar el dolor de alguien en nuestro hogar en vez de contestar los mensajes dejados por extraños, para que podamos interactuar con nuestros vecinos más cercanos tan frecuentemente como chateamos con nuestros amigos de otros bloggers, para que podamos preocuparnos más en ayudar a los menos privilegiados en vez de estarlo por el número de inscritos en nuestro RSS feeds.
Libéranos, Padre, de Spam y virus, de orgullo y egoísmo, y de la tentación de copiar imágenes sin permiso y de copiar ideas sin darle crédito a los autores genuinos.
Que podamos estar siempre unidos como un network de bloggers y como amigos que trabajan en tu Nombre. Que nuestros blogs nos guíen más cerca a ti.
