A prelude in reminsicing my High School life
By bluepanjeet on Mar 31, 2008 in *Flashback

On bloghopping I saw this tag from Airwind and reading from his entries I can’t help reminiscing my High School life. So I ask him if I could voluntarily do this tag because this will be my prelude to my 200th post hehe. My 200th post is so delayed because of the holy week. Pero I will post it even if it is already due. As you can see, I have a missing 200th post on my entries. May sungki kumbaga. It’s because I haven’t started writing it yet. Pero bilang pasakalye, let me first bring you this post. You might know what my 200th post will be because of this tag. So let me just bring you today the icing on top of the cake. You know me, I love teasing my readers. After my 3 day vacation, I will post the 200th entry so don’t miss a thing. Wag kukurap mga kakosa! Kasi pag di mo to binasa, di mo mahuhulaan ang 200th post ko hehe
What section were you in HS?
wait I still remember my sections from Grade 1 to Grade 10 and my advisers, not only during the 4th year. Let me enumerate:
- Grade 1 Love - Ms. Mindanao
- Grade 2 Peace - Ms. Jardin
- Grade 3 Patience - Mrs. Napeñas
- Grade 4 Diligence - Mrs. Lustañas
- Grade 5 Joy - Mrs. Jaro (one who tortured me to the core. I hate her when I was a kid)
- Grade 6 Charity - Ms. Raymunda (she’s a Poor Claire’s Contemplative Nun right now. I visited her in her convent last 2000 when I was a seminarian)
- Grade 7 Trustworthy - Ms. Ranido
- Grade 8 Industry - Mrs. Calzado
- Grade 9 Justice - Mrs. Natividad (My favorite section haha)
- Grade 10 Endurance - Mrs. Valiente (our kick boxing queen)
funny, after all these years I think I didn’t imbibe the virtues LOL
Who were your seatmates?
haha this is fun. My Seatmate is Mahalia and Tolits. We had so much fun in our seat. We usually tease Mahalia because she is darn good in English. She was our bet whenever there is an extempo or impromptu contest. She’s really oral haha. Whenever Tolits and I ran out of English, we use to tell he “Go F*** yourself” and she would reply with a laugh “I cannot F*** myself, I need a man!” hahaha. I miss her. She’s one of my loyal readers here. Actually she made a comment on my 100th post. Mahalia if you are reading this, paramdam ka LOL
Still remember your English teacher?
Of course galloping horse! Our English Teacher is half man-half woman. But this guy is soo kind and understanding. He can be blatantly sarcastic and funny all at the same time without being offensive. In 2006 he passed away. I wasn’t able to attend his wake. He is one of our best teachers in school.
What was your first class?
Our first class is Filipino. But I don’t consider it as my first class since I always stuck in the Principal’s office during the first hour of the morning because I was always late. Whenever I come to class, the period is already over haha. I remember the time that on the first day of class during Grade 10 (fourth year), I was sent out by my Filipino teacher, Mrs. M because my bestfriend and I can’t help but laugh at her voice. She sounded like a mule being raped by an elephant LOL.
Made friends to the lower years?
I think yes and no. At that time kasi may gap ang mga batches. Yung batch namin palagi kinakawawa kasi nga magagaling kami at nasa amin ang magaganda at gwapo hehe. Kaya when we all reached seniority, wala na maka gago sa amin. I remember the time whenever I pass by the corridors and the 9th Grades are lined up, tumatabi sila pag nadaan ako. Nahahawi na parang red sea. Seriously. Pero our closests friends were the sophomores.
How was your class schedule?
Medyo pangit ang sked namin. Of the four sections in Grade 10 kami lang ang huli sa recess.
Made any enemies?
Who was your favorite teacher?
Hmmm wala. haha Naiinis ako sa mga teachers namin noon kasi they are so boxed.
What sport did you play?
I’m a volleyball varsity player. Most of our barkadas are athletes. We were sent in the Regionals to compete. Pero I play tennis also with my dad and uncle. Our PE teacher MR. N. trained us as early as Grade 4 because of my height. Kaya tuwing my intrams at PRISAA, sa volleyball ako nakahanay. I play basketball in private with my cousins kasi ang pangit ko tingnan nung HS, mukha akong tikling pag nagbabasketball dahil payat. Kaya nung nagpasok ako seminary, ala eh dun ako nakipagbaldahan ng todo sa mga pari at seminarita kasi medyo may laman na ako ng konti. Pero I also play pool, billiards, bowling at Jack stone haha

Were you a party animal?
Kaya naman when I reached college napagsawaan ko na lahat ng klase ng lakwatsa at gimik. kaya eto palagi na lang ako nasa bahay kasi I miss the times that I should have spent for my mom and dad.
Were you well known in your school?
Haha. I don’t want to be a brag. Pero oo (modesty aside). Maybe because of my influence and my kalokohan. well known na well known. Notorius kamo haha. Even other batches still recognize me kahit di ko na sila kilala ngayon. I tell you, my HS life is a total chaos.
Did you get suspended/expelled?
No. Notorious ako pero di naman ako ganun kalala. Di pa ako nasususpend o naeexpelled.
Can you sing the alma mater?
haha. Oo naman, by heart, with feelings! Ehem… ehem…
Hail Sacred Heart Dear College,
our fountain of wisdom clear
we loudly sing our praises
and raise our flag of red and white
we love our fields and classrooms
where our daily task is done
on its message let us ponder
love of country, God and Home
Where ever we maybe,
may we learn our lessons right
on its message let us ponder
love of Country God and home
Hail Sacred Heat beloved
devoted sons we’ll be
you’re unending inspiration
Alma Mater hear our plea!
Hail Sacred Heart Dear College,
our fountain of wisdom clear
we loudly sing our praises
and raise our flag of red and white
What was your favorite subject?
Sibika hahaha Tsaka PE. Seriously, Social Studies, English, PE, CAT, Carpentry at Greek Myth
Did you go to the dances?
I’m not fond of dancing. Actually I have two left feet. Napasayaw lang nila ako noong Seniors Prom namin hehe
Where did you go most often during breaks?
Sa Gorilla Park. It is a very secluded place of our campus na kung saan dun kami nagtatabas ng talahib every CAT days.
What did you do on the last day of school?
I miss my School. Im am proud I graduated from my school. Di biro ang mag aral sa Catholic School from Kinder to Grade 10. Pero I have learned so many things from my school and up to now I still have the spirit of my Vincentian upbringing in me, especially in helping the poor. Eventhough I experienced and shared so many mischief in my school, still the fact remains that I am what I am because of it. I’m so proud to be a CORDIAN.
