I was thinking really hard if I should blog about this or not because for me this is really nothing, petty and not worth my time. But upon realization, I decided I should write about it so that others may learn the proper manner of blog ethics and social climbing. I do not ban people on purpose, only in extreme circumstances especially if my readers are at risk or my blog is a potential target for hacking and scrapping. I usually ban spammers in my site. Just yesterday someone left at least 40 messages in my CBOX telling me if someone pretty and sexy could chat with him. I wouldn’t ban him if that is only his mistake because everyone who visits here is free to leave sensible messages. But what I really hate is flooding my blog with nonsense. The guy left 34 shouts with the same message of “Francis cute q”. I banned him because obviously he is not here to read my blog but is actually looking for someone to hookup with (What a loser!). But this entry is not about him. Pasakalye ko lang ito. The real deal is this…
Last week I received an advertisement in my entrecard from someone who was involved in so many issues here in the blogosphere. The truth is I have nothing against her. Personally speaking, my stand on the issues that she blogged about in the past is contradictory to hers. Yet I still believe that it should not be the reason why I should not make friends with her o kahit di na lang sya kahit kanino man. Paranoid man ako minsan (di ba Malen?) pero I’m not that petty and unreasonable.
Actually ganito nangyari. Before I received her Advert, a link entered my e-referrer coming from her other Pro-blog. Akala ko kung kanino but upon thorough inspection I learned that it was hers. My blog was indexed in one of her entries pero I was wondering why I haven’t received the link in my technorati since I am already using a plugin that will index my URL with or without the www. I remembered that we have this “No-follow” tag that is inserted in the link code so that the recipient cannot benefit from the link or be indexed in technorati. In deep reflection o kahit hindi na, iisipin mo pa rin na it is rude since she mentioned me on her blog and yet she did not bother to link me properly. Pinalampas ko yun because sabi ko it’s her blog not mine kahit pa pangit tingnan at medyo magaspang sa paguugali, ayus lang, Cowboy naman ako eh.
Pero ang kinainis ko ay itong isinulat nya sa blog nya.
We all know that my blog is a multimedia blog kaya nga ang tawag ko sa blog ko ay TAPSILog (my self concocted abbreviation for Transcribed Audio-visual Psycho Spiritual Integration Log) diba? Kasi nga my blog is powered by music and visual effects pero lately na lang ako di naglalagay ng music it’s because of this Ka Pepe stuff.

Pero I told myself that its okay since she has every right not to read my blog because the feeling is mutual. I don’t also go to blogs that are managed and owned by hypocrites and who are power drunk as if they are all the High and Mighty bloggers.
but when I was new in the blogosphere I used to frequent her blog and leave comments in her posts until I learned from someone that whenever a blogger doesn’t visit your blog for a long period of time or have the courtesy of even welcoming you or thanking your for your visit, most likely you are not welcomed on her blog, you are not “in” and that the blogger doesn’t feel you to be her friend and all.
So I stayed away from her blog and found my own niche. Kasi ako yung tao na kung ayaw mo sa akin huwag, sino naman tinakot mo. di lang ikaw ang tao sa mundo.
Until when I closed my blog last February, I always saw her Myblog Avatar in my maintenance mode page. I thought she was reading my tidbits there pero I realized that she was just looking for people who visits my blog. What else could she want since I have no traffic then and I have no post in it.
From then on she started visiting my blog on a weekly basis up to now. I checked my stats and saw that she only lasts for 5 seconds or so. She just passes by to drop her entrecards in order to increase her points. Okay lang since di naman ako mahilig magpataas ng points sa entrecard dahil nga wala namang free cadbury o ipod pag tumaas ang entrecard mo eh. I was waiting for her to at least leave some comments in my blog pero wala. I did not ban her kasi wala naman sya ginagawa masama sa akin at sa blog ko kahit pa talagang sa blog nya ay obvious na masama ugali nya. Actually, its not a secret anymore in the blogosphere kung ano ugali nya kasi nga kahit 7 year old kid pinatulan nya. Ewan, may bubuli kasi na nagsabi sa akin dati na baka insecure kasi daw yung kanyang unica iha ay ang kauna-unahang blogger sa buong pilipinas (hehe dapat ipag-pagawa ng monumento sa Luneta!).
Mahilig kasi itong si Madame manghikayat ng alipores nya pag di nya kaya powers ng kalaban nya eh. Nung una apektado ako pero ngayon hindi na kasi pare-pareho na lang kaming blogger. Nagkataon lang nauna sya sa akin pero it is not a guage for a blogger to be considered as elite. Pareho lang kaminglahat na nagbabawas sa bowl. Baka nga mas maganda pa bowl namin sa kanila eh kasi tadtad ng dyamante atginto, pati tissue namin ay pilak! LOL diba Ambo, Mix at Reynz?
Di ko sya pinangalanan kasi baka dumami pa traffic and I really don’t want her to get the attention. KSP na nga, irereinforce mo pa! Plus the fact na babae sya at gurang na, ayoko naman masabihan uli ni Sam Malvar na hampas-lupa ako. Kaya lang siguro naman may karapatan ako iblog diba? kahit pa wala ito kwenta sa inyo pero sa akin naman may kabuluhan ito.
And when I realized that this woman is a certified 100% User-Friendly, I immediately rejected her advert 1 day before her slot day. I told her that this is not personal. I also encouraged her to visit here and wait for this post. I have given her the freedom to react on this post and explain her side or she can blog about this also since the proper way to negate a fellow blogger is through their own respective blogs.
Ngayon bago ko tapusin ito, nais ko lang mag-iwan ng tatlong katanungan.
Una, kung di sya nagbabasa at napunta sa blog ko dahil wala daw sya hilig sa mga blog na may music, eh ano to?
Ikalawa, kung di sya USER Friendly eh ano sya? My Bestfriend o my OTWOMD Fan?

Dati po mang-mang ako sa blogging at nagpapatapak ako kahit pa alam ko na may katwiran ako. Pero in order to survive here in the blogosphere from all the hyenas and gremlins lurking on every blog and looking for someone to devour, Silence is not a valid and acceptable behavior. You must be heard to counter challenge the prevailing standards of people, even here in the blogosphere. Because the basic essence of blogging is freedom of speech. Kung di ka magsasalita para sa tama ay kawawa ka.
Kaya ako, motto ko sa blog ko? Patronize before you Advertize!
Read my blog and frequent it at kahit libre plug at advert gagawin ko para lang sayo, wag ka lang USER FRIENDLY!

Ako din, nakikibasa ako dito pero hindi ako nag co-comment kasi wala na akong mai-add, covered mo na lahat.
Kung “user-friendly” yung tao na sinasabi mo, pwede mo ring gantihan ng “ignore-friendly”.
If I see a link on my “mymoblog” na nag paramdam lang, that;s already an added bonus, at least I know someone is reading. If it’s a direct link from somebody else, meaning that’s even bigger.
Just keep posting what you like, music, paid post (although I admit, it’s discouraging kung todo todo) or whatnots, this is your blog.

naku, dapat pala kuya K talagang bigyan ko kayo ng merchandize ko pag namaterialize. sa totoo lang ginto sa akin ang pagblobloghop kasi nauubos ang freetime ko kay pepeng agimat. pero I make it a point na yung mga in between post ay may kalidad pa rin para balanse.
tama ka jan, dapat panlaban ay ignore-friendly. Blinog ko lang kasi wala na ako pang in between haha.

hehehe… may ganun ba talagang factor sa blogosphere? may away, intriga, paghihiganti at iba pang nakakaaliw na social experiments? parang ansaya! excited na akong sumali.
kapatid, tama yung ginawa mo (kahit medyo di ko naindihan). tingnan mo, any day now, hihingi sayo yun ng date. I recommend cyma’s kung saan malinamnam at mapaghiganti (pero more than 40pesos) ang shawarma.

hahaha i remember that PARTRONIZE BEFORE YOU ADVERTISE, dahil na-irita ako with one sort famous blogger. he had his contest in his blog right? i helped him financially. indi na man kalakihan. it was for Php1,000 - humihingi pa nang malaki, Php1,500 daw, sabi ko, ano ka? sinuswirti? that bloody a-hole did not even had the nerve to link me up! and YES he is GOOD FRIEND of this b**** that you’re talking about! I wrote HIM an email and lectured him that I took him down on entrecard because of what i found out. but before i did that, i sent an email to all of you because i was careful that HE is not amongst your circle of friends. Lo and behold HE is also a freaking user.
Getting back to this USER friendly, she did circled everyone of my friends and i knew she was up to something. I won’t block her ever. She’s invited to read all my writings hahahaha especially the ones meant for her! I think she can learn from me, besides I am more beautiful and pretty kumpara sa kanya! hahahah!

kaya ako di na ko naglologin sa mybloglog at blogcatalog dahil ayoko makitang naglulurk ako. hahaha, tsaka tinanggal ko narin yang widget na yan at ayoko makita yung mga hindi ko gusto makita. bahala sila sa buhay nila. hahaha.
ngayon ko lang nagets kung sino yung sinasabi sa kabilang blog. iba ang nasa isip ko, si XXX or XXX pala. Nahuli ko lang nung sinabi mong anak nya yung first Philippine blogger. Si XXX yun di ba?
i remember during the time na binabatikos si XXX isa sya sa mga bumatikos but then again kinontra sya ni XXX(which blogs at XXX.net, if reynz would ask again) dahil iba daw sa nauna syang statement before pa lumabas ang issue. something like that, di ko matandaan.
but why she’s still using entrecard? and having won the best family blog award from last year’s philippine blog awards, di ko alam kung bakit kailangan nya pa ng entrecard. nagsusulat din ba sya para kay Ka Pepe? ako inalis ko narin sa main blog ko yang mga widget na’yan at di ko kailangan ng pampabagal. sikat na naman blog ko dahil binibisita yan everyday ni misis. hahaha. yung mga tambakan blogs ko meron kase kailangan talaga nya ng traffic kesehodang pang-5 seconds lang.
pero it’s really rude to put an effort into putting a no follow tag kapag ni-link ka. if politeness would mean you have to do to effort of putting a no follow tag, it would have been understandable kung di nya nalagyan. kase kakatamad yun, effort. pero that is not the case, she really did the effort to be rude. hahaha. anyway, kanya-kanyang opinion yan. walang pakialaman ng blog.
correct me if i’m wrong, kung sya nga yung tinutukoy nyo pero with these many clues, ang tanga ko kung nagkamali pa ko. anyway, di naman porke’t guapo required na matalino di ba?

kanina nga nagdahilan ba naman yung SR kasi very rare daw case ko. ako lang daw nakakaexperience ng ganun. sabi ko sa kaka rampot na 3.5 dolyares pahihirapan nyo pa ako. ayun inoverride nila account ko at pwede ako magsubmit na kahit din chinecheck ng system yung links. tinakot ko kasi sabi ko ibloblog ko at iboboycott ng community ko SR hahaha.

di naman ako gigil, nagpasaya lang ako dito sa blog ko dahil una wala ako palaman kay pepeng agimat, ikalawa mukha na kasi talipapa eto blog ko at tatlo, alam ko kasi na dadami magcocomment pag chizmiz at intriga ang topic LOL joke lang.
honestly di ako gigil. natatawa lang ako kasi tinetesting ko kung tatawagin na naman nya ali-forest nya. siguro di pa langnya napipick up LOL sabi ko nga sa taas waste of space ang topic na ito at nakuha ko pa talagang i-screen cap haha. wala lang ako maipalaman ngayon na maayos kasi yung nasa drafts ko eh english na naman. nasasawa na ako kaeenglish.

Yan ang problema nang Awards na yan. Credibility. Mali pa rin ang strategy nila. Kasi ang strategy nila to gain credibility eh magdala nang taong me credibilidad at hindi ayusin ang problema nang awards nila! hahaha Madiscuss nga yan sa blog! hahaha

Not sure if I understood everything what you wrote…
Anyway I blog for my own pleasure. Not for money nor for fame.
I just like to take pictures and instead of keeping them in my computer’s hard drive I like to share them with other people.
Of course visits and comments are important. It is the fuel that keeps you going.
From the stats I can see that people visit when they are looking for a particular event or topic even if they never leave a comment. That is also fine with me.
After all I am documenting life in the Philippines from the perspective of a foreigner.
I never got any annoying visitors. I got comments from people who thought that I was showing things that I shouldn’t show. But they had a point to think so and the right to say it. There was never a case of harassment.
The internet is like real life… do what you think is right and don’t bother too much about what other people think or do.

I agree sid. Good for you. I had the same motivation before. But because I’m stuck in this temporary situation, I made up my mind and go on pro. actually I wanted to buy a DLSR that’s why joined the bandwagon. definitely if I save enough for the cam, I would eventually leave the pro-blogging because that is not really my thing. I am actually having a hard time blogging Ka Pepes because my passion in blogging comes from inspiration and not forced advertisement stuff. Pero ika nga kailangn ko to paghirapan para naman makasam rin ako sa hanay nyo sa photography world.
BTW, we joined this group called litratong pinoy, maybe you want to join. the start of posting will be april 4 (i think). Sumali ako kahit phone cam lang gamit ko hehe.

I will try to investigate this matter. Its on the plug-in side sometimes. If the plugin cannot locate any RSS feed on the URL you gave, it results to that. It actually parses the RSS feed so pag minsan nagloloko. pag wala sya makita ganyan ang result.

You showed the wonders of Banahaw and our province andmedyo na-ingit ako ng konti kasi taga rito na ako di ko pa makunan bayan namin. That’s whenI started consulting my friends on how to join the bandwagon. kasi nung una talaga ayoko. pero dahil nga sa puro photos halos ang blog na ito eh nagdecide na ako to save for that DLSR.
