What is an HMO? HMO stands for Health Maintenance Organization. Plainly speaking, HMO is a health insurance organization in the United States which provides health care coverage through Hospitals, Doctors and other providers. Well if you live in the US, you really have to get a good Health Insurance so that your health and medical expenses will be covered. My sister and her family lives in California and when she migrated there, she and her husband immediately purchased a California individual health insurance policy from Kaiser Permanente Health Insurance. Kaiser Permanente provides families with individual health insurance, which is integrated with medical facilities and physicians, and caters state of the art and latest health care innovations for its members. They are also inclined in giving their members an edge on preventative medicine by facilitating classes for healthy living and lifestyle. Moreover, they also give discounts on acupuncture, chiropractic care, massage therapy weight watchers memberships and selected fitness club services. Having Kaiser is also like having a good health insurance coverage.
