Cool aunt, cool blinds

I was doing my routine reading on the net when my aunt who just came from Chicago entered my room. She asked me if I wanted to change the drapes on my windows. I said “no, it’s fine”. She giggled and said my drapes resembled the tablecloth she used to have in Chicago. I laughed and told her “at least, every day is a picnic day in my room”. Until she suggested that, I should try blinds instead of drapes. Actually, in our former home, my windows were covered with blinds but I changed it to drapes when we move here since I wanted some kind of variation even on my window curtains. But she insisted that I should go back in using blinds. I asked her why, and then she began to pull a chair beside me and started surfing the net.
She brought me to this website wherein the blinds are so classy, simple and elegant. Unlike the curtains in my room, which I still have to tie to a knot, just so the winds entering my room would not furl them. The blinds were very different from what I used to have before. I was amazed on the design and color of the blinds. Actually, she convinced me of changing my drapes because the blinds are really cool and uncomplicated. You just have to pull it up or down without the hassle of over reaching and tying them to a knot.
The best part of that conversation was that she asked me to choose from the designs on the catalog. She said she would pay for them. Haha, my aunt is cool! So I chose this alabaster colored “Express faux wood blinds” because I really love neutral and earth colors. Actually, there are many cheap mini blinds available, but I particularly chose this design because it covers the entire window and reduces the light without obstructing any of it from entering through my room.
I asked her how she knew about the website, she said she frequents that website because of its low prices and fantastic designs.
Oh well, so much for my old drapes. I now have a new cool pair of window blinds.
