In The Spotlight

56th

Okay I was put on the spotlight by Doc Prudence through a meme which was originally created by Christy. Yeah it is true I hate being tagged because it disrupts the natural flow of my blog. But come to think of it, it’s better this way than to put those viral tags diba? This is a natural way to link fellow bloggers and help them get more readers. And the fact that being tagged means that you are thought of by a fellow blogger. Now who can resist that? Everybody needs a little bit of ego feed from time to time isn’t it? I think kapatid Ross would definitely exclaim: Haayyyy eto na naman si kapatid blue!. and besides, I like answering questions. It’s like having an essay type of exam all over again.

These are the rules:1. Title your post “In The Spotlight
2. Link back to the person who tagged you
3. Don’t copy and paste this instructions. Make your own. Click here for more of the detailed explanation.
4. From the given questions HERE, choose only those you would like to answer.
5. Tag at least 5 people on the blogosphere. Here it goes:What makes your blog unique?Well my blog is a first of its kind. There are videoblogs, audioblogs, artlogs, photoblogs etcetera. OTWOMD basically flows on the theme of what I personally call as T.A.P.S.I.LOG which stands for Transcribed Audio-visual Psycho-spiritual Integration Log. What’s that suppose to mean? It means that this blog is a personal blog, which is equipped with audiovisual features that focus on man’s psychological and spiritual integration. As a gist, my experiences in and out of the blogosphere gives a prototype on how a human being should integrate his three spheres namely the mind, the heart and the soul, thus becoming fully human fully alive (St. Iranaeus). Operating by mind alone renders a person as an intellectual freak. Operating in the heart alone makes one an emotional wreck. A solely spiritual person becomes a fanatic. However, when a person has balance between these three spheres of his personality and being, he becomes a human being, fully alive. Many people pass this lifetime without becoming integrated, that’s why this blog is unique. It helps people realize the importance of being human in his three major aspects without compromising his faith and spiritual existence. When did you start Blogging?I started in 2005 in my old friendster blog. What do you hope to accomplish in your blog?

Just to trigger people for personal reflections, integration of mind, heart and soul, propagate vocations and spread the Word of God. As simple as that.

What’s your favorite childhood memory?

Many but the one of the best is living with my mom and dad and family. Thinking of those things makes me happy. I wish I could turn back time when life is so simple and abundant even when we were poor.

If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you want to have with you?

First… the Bible. Obviously there would be no church or civilization there so even if I am alone, I would always feel that I’m not. It is self-explanatory actually. Second… a picture of my family and friends. Third… a guitar.

Do your moral values affect the way you blog, if yes why?

Definitely. I have my own ethical and moral standards which is anchored on my Catholic and Capuchin background. I’m not that liberated to actually go beyond the norms of my Catholic faith, but I’m not also too conservative as not to mention words like vagina, penis, clitoris, scrotum and words that are utterly harmless and depends on the readers discretion. In my span of almost 2 months of stay in the blogosphere, I have stumbled upon so many kinds of blogs. There are the so called liberated blogs which defies anything conservative and posts anything they want even without thinking that not all readers are adults. There are also ultra conservative catholic and Christian blogs that are so morally chained that they tend to go beyond the heavens flying and forgetting that they are still here on earth. With this two opposing poles, I say I’m in the middle. Human is the exact word— not morally offending and not morally stifling either.

What is the weirdest thing that ever happened to you?

Falling asleep in our dormitory library in college while studying. The next morning, I woke up already in my bed which is 2 floors above the library. I never remembered waking up and going to bed. I was not drunk because I was studying for my midterms in PT. It occured to my mind that maybe I was sleep walking at that time but my room mates never saw me or heard me coming inside the room. It was really weird.

What is your best quality?

I don’t know. I don’t peddle my own qualities. I just let people witness what they see in me and sometimes they are wrong. My personality belongs to the less than 2% of the entire population (on earth) and I’m really hard to read. Even my own family and the people whom I know for years still doesn’t know me that well even what I’m thinking or what I’m going to do next. Most of the time people presume my intentions and motives, which are totally off tangent to my line of thinking. Let the people decide what my best quality is.

What is your worst quality?

This I can identify. I am very forgiving, very considerate and very accepting. I do not hold grudges and sometimes I tend to forget that I’m angry with a person. But when my kindness is abused or I am treated without due respect or anything that violates my freewill, my dignity, my generosity, charity of spirit, understanding, my friendship, my trust, my loyalty and my good will… watch out because the dragon in me awakens. As they say “masamang magalit ang mabait (kind people manifests the worst anger). This is what my friends and my students are afraid of me. They saw how the beast comes alive whenever I get angry. And I tell you, it’s like a double edged sword piercing your heart whenever I rant and preach because what comes from my mouth is only the truth. And the truth always hurts. I never hurt people physically nor do I take revenge because I’m not the type, but what I do will definitely eat you alive by your own conscience. My counterattack always focuses on the conscience because it is the only thing that man can never escape. 99% of the time, it works. It may not work instantly but after months or years have passed, those who betrayed me and violated me returns to me like a prodigal son or daughter and I accept them back with my outstretched arms. But in fairness to my flaw, I only get angry when I know it is right to be angry (righteous anger). I hate people who are over presumptuous in what I do and in what I’m thinking. Because they do not know what is really going on inside me. It’s only between God and myself, and no one else has the right to trespass those boundaries that life have set.

Well I’m going to tag people whom I never tagged before specifically Dom OSB, Pixelus, Onllarena, Bea and Ghandee.

I did it because I am searching for search engine optimization. my blog just evolved to what it is now, it was not what I originally intended it to be. HU HU HU HU HU…
