Last April I had a wish. One month before my birthday I had this secret wish on my mind of acquiring a new digicam to use for my amateur photography (I’m currently using my Phone cam). My birthday came and my wish did not come true. So I extended my secret wish for another month hoping that the tooth fairy, blue fairy, fairy Godmother or whoever has wings and grants wishes could somehow hear what my heart’s desire. But we are now in the month of June and I think my wish has no way of being granted. That is why I am resetting my not-anymore secret wish for my next birthday next year.
What I really wished for is this Sony Cybershot DSC-F828. It is a 4-year-old model by Sony but the features are still quite commendable including its 8 megapixel shot resolution, an impressive zoom capacity and a very sleek and sexy black tainted contour design.Well I was waiting for a miracle, my wish to be granted, but I forgot that I must work for everything I wanted in life. Life is not a fairytale where pumpkins turns into carriages and puppets become live little boys. It is simply working and striving hard to achieve what you want in life. Ergo if I wanted this “not-so-secret birthday wish of mine, I have to work hard for it, so that I can buy it for myself. There is no way that it will just pop up and fall from the sky onto my lap.Dreams and wishes are good but it should always be grounded on reality, otherwise I’ll be spending my whole life wishing, instead of working and actually fulfilling it.If next year, my wish for this digicam would not be granted, I would just have to rob a bank, kidnap somebody or snatch a dollar bill (Dollar pa ha!) in my mom’s purse everyday until my next Birthday comes. Of course you do realize that I’m just kidding.
God makes wishes come true in his own WILL, but not fairytales.
Keep on dreaming, bro. We have the same wish on this one. My other wish is to have a better bike setup, but I guess, it’s fate may just be the same as your camera wish though.
Thanks for your comments on my blogs.
Well I think Blogging is synonyms to photography. Well for me I have my EOS 400d and my next wishlist is the Zoom Lense..( It is almost as costly as my unit ),,,
i have my own wishlist sa blog ko … pero till now di ko sure kung lahat yung ay makukuha ko. But atleast ive got something to look at na makakapagmotivate sa akin. I think thats makes wishes good. Kasi you will try your best makuha mo lang yun.
@ Dex,
Yeah, I had a mentor before who is in the photography business. He once mentioned to me that lens alone can cost as much as the camera itself. He was instrumental in my obsession to this very expensive hobby.
ei this Sony Cybershot DSC-F828, meron pa ba nyan ngayon diyan sa Pinas?…. kasi dito sa merika ay parang wala na akong nakikitang ganun- if it came out four years ago already hahahahah…. i guess merong kapalit yun= its so sleek too, but its 7.5 megapixels— eh, research mo nga tol kung meron nyan diayn sa pinas…curious lang ako malaman kung available pa hehehehhehe…
@DOM OSB,
Anyhow at least I keep on dreaming hehe…
@DOM OSB,
korak padre, baka sa ebay meron pa nyan. pero if you are going to replace your 5 megapixel digicam with this, I think you should instead buy the latest sony model. it’s not wise to buy second hand gadgets.
Hehe..same here man. I’ve had most of the stuff in my wishlist for quite a while now and still get even one of them. Although it’s a bit disappointing not to have them, I don’t give up on my hopes of getting them in the near future. I’m sure one of these days you’ll be able to get that dream camera of yours.
Btw, how’s the review going? When are you gonna take the exam? Wish you all the best and God bless!
@Jaypee
Hello Pards. That’s an old model but I really like the features and style. I bet the newly released model of Sony are far more high tech than this.
My review keeps getting harder and harder hehe. pero buhay pa. I haven’t been to blogs lately for reading because of my hectic sked, except for those blogs who tagged me. Ganito pala pare mag maintain ng blog. Halos freetime ko from my review dito napupunta. pero enjoy naman. Maybe this week I will be able to blog hop again. Thanks bro. You’re the man!
F828 looks really cool. Never tried using one, but being a loyal Sony guy all my life, I’m sure it rocks!
As a start, I would suggest you buy a low cost prosumer digital camera (one that allows you to manipulate various camera settings) and start taking formal photography lessons, if you still haven’t done so. It will reinforce your conviction on why the F828 is the camera for you.
With the skills that you’ve learned, you can actually start doing some photography-related gigs (like portraits for friends, party pics, etc), save some money, and buy the F828 in a year’s time.
Best of luck, let me know when you’ve finally granted yourself your wish.
That’s actually my plan in the near future. Photography is one of my passions. I have mastered the settings of my sister’s digital camera, but I haven’t bought one for myself yet. saka na siguro. I will definitely let you know and would even ask tips from you hehe. Salamat uli.
