Did you know that the office of the Bishop is actually the fullness and completeness of a vocation? St. Peter was the first Bishop of the catholic Church. Blessed John Paul II was also a Bishops before. In fact he wrote a book all about becoming a bishop and its significance. The nice thing about World Youth Day is that you see the catholic church in full armada through her bishops. This is probably the only international event outside Rome that you will see large number of bishops celebrating mass and joining the young people in the celebration. yesterday, August 16, the College of Bishops are in full force, backing up Cardinal Ruoco varela and con-celebrating with him in the mass. But our bishops are not just displays for events like this. They are actually human. they talk and mingle with one another just like we do.
