World Youth Day is not just an event for conversion, for prayer, and for social transformation. World Youth Day is also a Party. In fact, the biggest party in existence. In 1995, almost % Million people partied with Pope John Paul II in Manila, celebrating the new evangelization of Asia bestowed on the shoulders of Filipinos. In Sydney last year, almost a Million People partied with Pope Benedict XVI in combating atheism. Now, over 1 Million pilgrims is expected again to Party with the Pope, this time with the intention of combating secularism and celebrating the Catholic roots in Europe, planted and propagated all over the world by Spain. This shows the world that you don’t need junks just so you could be happy and party. The joy that these young people have comes from the Holy Spirit and spreads like a wildfire to everyone it encounters, like a contagious disease out breaking from borders to barriers.
