When you are in world youth day, you will have a tendency to be overwhelmed by the people the surrounds you. And its a good thing. During my time when I attended the World Youth Day in 1995, I was so overwhelmed by the crowd around me that I wished the event would go for a month. It is because in world youth days, total strangers become friends, foreigners who speak in a different tongue speaks your language, people of different races pass before you as if you are attending the United nations and songs of joy, chuckles and laughter, sharing, giving and helping one another instantly becomes a reality. And you thought this day will never come in your lifetime. You then become so overwhelmed by the fact that in one straight week, humanity was there, united and in harmony with one another under the fatherhood of God – till you can’t take it anymore and you cry, you shed tears of joy.
