It’s literally hours away before the official opening of World Youth Day 2011 and signs are everywhere in Madrid pointing to only one event that will rejuvenate Spain’s Catholic Faith. Everywhere you go, photos of Benedict XVI, Madrid Logos, and hues of red and white are spread and posted on every street of Madrid from Downtown Cibeles Plaza, to retiro Park all the way to Cuatro vientos. Pilgrims coming from the Days of Diocese are also pouring in Bus Stations, Train Stations, Airports and even at the Volunteers’ Headquarters in IFEMA. Most of the Pilgrims are coming from neighboring dioceses throughout Madrid, others are from Pilgrimages from Holy Land, Rome, Lourdes, and Fatima while others are just arriving coming from their respective countries. But with all this hype, only one person is the superstar: Jesus. Let us all pray for the success of World Youth Day.
