Did you know that I always receive emails from my readers? Yes, even though the Alexa Rank of OTWOMD plummeted this past few months because of lack of attendance and post (Imagine for the whole month of May I have no entries!), I still receive emails from readers reading my previous entires. Most of the time these emails are blatant advertising of their website which we call spam, some are negative comments, but mostly, emails of encouraging thoughts and opinions from my readers. It is comforting and fulfilling to read many of these letters and knowing that this blog have touched their lives in one way or another. I have also met so many friends from other countries just because of this blog. Some of them are Fr. Martin of USA, Bro. Inia of Fiji Island, Fr. Thomas of Australia and most recently Ms. Susan from Denver who emailed me and sent me the World Youth Day memorabilia of her daughter during the WYD 1993 in Denver (a separate story will be posted here soon about it). It is unfair for my readers not to receive any response from me so I decided to post some of them which really brightens my day knowing that I am not alone in my journey and many of my readers can relate to my experiences.
Here is one email which I received last year which really surprised me. I think I have personally responded to this email but I have no more copy of my response. For all its worth, let me share to you his email. And expect that this coming days, more letters to the author will be posted in this series.

Greetings Mr. Blue,
Although by your writings I think I should rightfully address you as Mr. White ehehehe. Your article on The Incorruptibles caught my attention, I was intrigued so I kept on reading and somewhere in your “About the Author” page got me more interested and smiling and it’s actually this specific part:
“Unbelievably, the first thing I would do inside a mall is to look for the toyshop and bookstores. I can resist buying all the wristwatch, shirts, shades, shoes and pants in a department store, but having a toy in front of my face is my personal kryptonite. Just like a 5 year old who cannot seem to stop annoying his mom and dad, just so they could buy him the toy he desperately wants, I for one cannot resist in buying the toy for my nephews and for myself.”
When I read that I was able to completely relate to you, I am 32 years old but when I walk inside the mall the first thing I look for is a toy store and once I’m inside a toy store I am like a five year old boy in a candy store. It is true I would rather buy a toy before I buy nice clothes especially if it’s a collectible, especially if only a certain number of those toys were made I jump at it right away. It’s true toys are just material things but I am not a materialistic person at all unlike a person who cannot part with their jewelries and with all their money and gold.
I just cannot explain it perhaps you of all people will understand but there’s a certain happiness that a toy can give that no jewelry can, it breathes life into the little child in us that had almost been forgotten in all the chaos of life.
I remember when I was 12 years old I was playing with my toy soldiers and it took me forever to arrange them on the table and my father walked by and threw his slipper on them scattering them all over the table and floor. Then he said “Matanda ka na naglalaro ka pa!” (Your already grown up and still you play with toys) but interestingly I wasn’t hurt at all when he did that I’m not sure why though. But that never discouraged me, now that I am able to afford toys for my self I buy every toy that fancies me but I am very selective though I don’t just buy and I am exactly the same way with movies.
I have a library of Animations, Cartoon DVDs and now I am starting to get into Blu-Rays. Although I must emphasize I am not addicted with these collections at all I know when to stop and I know when I cannot afford it and I do not lose sleep over it because in the end it is just a material thing and there will always be another day.
So now I am like the coolest uncle to my nephews and nieces because I am that uncle who always know how to give the perfect gift whether for a boy or a girl. I have a knack in knowing the toy that will make their eyes sparkle which makes me feel bad sometimes because the other gifts are usually tossed aside once my gift is opened and that’s when I usually leave the room ehehehe.
When I was single and there’s a family gathering or a party, anyone who is looking for me knows where to find me, I always hang out with the little kids’ corner. I am the uncle who chases them in the backyard and pushes them on the swing, I’m the uncle who is not afraid to purposely lose a video game and laugh about it when they beat me, and I am the uncle they run to when their parents scold them.
Now that I have my own daughter though I barely have time for other kids because I always spend my time playing with her. Unlike other dads I am never ashamed to play dolls with her or pretend I’m sipping tea with her and her dollies while I wear her princess hat. I may look ridiculous to other “Manly Man” but I’m sure their little girls are wishing that their dads are as cool as I am ehehehe.
I also believe you that one can actually incorporate the spiritual with the physical and both can coexist in life. As it was said “Man cannot live by bread alone” and I agree with that.
Anyway, I didn’t want to bog you with so much reading as I am sure you get hundreds of these. I am glad to have stumble upon your blog I think it is worth reading.
Thanks brother, may you have a wonderful day.
Kind Regards,
RizoRex

Wow. This is nice Blue.
You are still receiving e-mail from your friends due to blogging. Well, I do hope you continue writing.
Quite a bit yeah. But its really disappointing when you try to email them back they don’t anymore respond. Kinda wasting my time contacting them
