GestionNoticias_0inscribeteHere is how you can register for the World Youth Day 2011 in Madrid. I have come up with this simple blog post because I receive tons of queries from readers asking me how to register for the event. Now here is your chance since WYD 2011 Secretariat has already opened the registration process online. Registration for WYD is online – accessible 24 hours a day and from any part of the world. It is available in five languages (English, Spanish, French, Italian, and Polish) and a Call Center provides technical support in English and Spanish 24 hours a day. The registration system was financed by Fundación Madrid Vivo, with support from various Spanish companies and institutions such as Fundación Marcelino and Santander Bank.

Step 1: Go to the Official Registration Portal

Step 2: Determine what category you belong to. Currently there are five categories; Group, Individual, Authority, Journalist (which are now open) and for Volunteers. Volunteer registration will come later.

Step 3: Click the appropriate category links and fill up the forms

Step 4: Once forms are already filled-up, proceed to submission. An email will be delivered to your inbox.

Step 5: once you already have the confirmation email, get your username and password and login to back to the portal using your access. From there you will be guided accordingly and wait for the processing of your registration.

Step 6: If you are coming from other countries, make sure you already have a Spanish Visa. If you don’t have yet, I think its high time you check the Spanish Embassy in your country to check the procedures in applying for Visa. Citizens of the United States, Canada, Australia and the European Union, Singapore, Japan and Malaysia need not anymore apply for a Spanish Visa since these countries have a mutual agreement to wave visas coming from these countries.

So there. As simple as that. Before you register, make sure that you have the capability of taking care of your expenses because the registration involves credit cards. If you are in a group, try to contact your team leader, your Parish Priest or your sponsor to register you on the said event Airfare expenses are not included in the registration. Pilgrims coming from the third world countries will pay less compared to pilgrims coming from developed countries. This Tradition has been practiced from previous World Youth days and are caried out through the years as part of the universal economics of

While thinking whether to register or not, here is the official video promo for the registration. Perhaps this will convince you hehe…
