Yesterday I have posted here that the Station of the Cross to be held at World Youth Day 2011 in Madrid, will showcase the Spanish and Filipino Tradition of processioning the Holy Statues or Images of the different scenes of the Passion of our Lord, as a way of sharing to the youth of the world this important culture of our Spanish Brothers passed onto the Philippines during the colonial times.
World Youth Day 2011 Secretariat just released the official photos of the said statues, carved by different Spanish artists and to be used in the Station of the Cross on 2011 in Madrid. The Station of the Cross in World Youth Days are part of the tradition and held every WYD event attended by millions of Young Pilgrims. The statues are below:
