A few weeks ago, I was preoccupied with so many things that I wasn’t able to answer some of the letters sent to us by our readers. Now that I’m back, I will resume what I started in answering some letters. This one came from Rose Ann Lopez sent last October 15, 2009 via our Contact Page:
Hi Panjeet..
I just want to say that i did find your website or should i say blogsite interesting, informative in many aspects and inspiring.
I wish i can do all the things you’ve done and still are doing coz i have this gut feeling that i can be an inferior counterpart of yours.
You are a good writer and should i say, you play with words well, you are a voracious reader, you are intelligent, observant, God-fearing, sensitive to the needs of people… I can have a long list of what i’ve observed about you just by reading through your blog.. I guess the best description i can give you is that you are human..
I also am a registered nurse in my early 40’s but i just graduated in 2007.
I just want to say that reading about you caught my attention coz just like you, i also wanted to help people, i speak my mind out, i want to be a writer, be of service and still be human, who gets irate, joke around.
I also am looking for my niche. i know i have talent, calling if i may use the term, i just have to find the guts to do things right, at the right time, at the right place.. and yes, i still am idealistic.. someone whom you said you once were.
Well, I hope you continue what you do and i hope that you pray for me.. I know you have a direct line to God. btw, am i correct that you are talkative as well? and you say what you think and believe is worth saying even if others may miscontrue it?
As i’ve said, i am an inferior counterpart of you and i also wanted to do things that you do..
May God bless you and i hope you continue being an inspiration to people and being of service to God’s creatures.

Dear Rose Ann,
First of all, welcome to OTWOMD (On The Wings Of My dream). I am glad that you enjoyed my site.
Just to let you know, you are the second Nurse who sent me a letter. I was expecting that Ex-seminarians like me would frequent my blog, I guess I was wrong hehe. But I am glad that you sent me a letter.
Gathering from your letter, it seems that you also have this desire to help people by way of our profession and that you also want to try blogging. Well helping people is a noble vocation. It doesn’t require heroes, it doesn’t demand credentials. All it needs is the heart and will of the person to give his or her time, talent and treasure. Of course many of us have different ways of helping people. Some help through their financial excess, some extend their hands, some use their talent, but no matter what kind or what manner the help is given, what’s important is that we help people. In this age of ours, many people are needing help and your offering of one self will truly benefit our fellow men.
You must always believe in yourself. You don’t have to feel inferior or to even compare yourself with others. We are all unique. God has given us different talents according to his will. So use your talents in ways that you think you are good at. There are no such thing as superior or inferior when it comes to using your talent, much more so, in helping others.
Do not be afraid to speak what you think is right, morally and ethically. We all have the liberty and obligation to do so as Christians. Just be reminded that we also have our limitations. We can be assertive without being arrogant with others. I always say to people around me that fighting for what you believe in is not exclusive. It always have to be moderated with tact, prudence, kindness and gentleness no matter how aggressive others towards you.
Yes, I will include you in my prayers. If you have some personal intentions that you want to be prayed for by yours truly, just fill out the form in the sidebar and submit to us your Prayer request.
Thank you so much for taking time in writing. It is you my readers who always give me the push to continue my mission here in the Cyberspace.
All the best and Pax et Bonum
