Australian Dad Angered at Sex Education of KidsAn Australian father was angered when his giggly seven year old son came home one day biting back his tears and telling him that he had seen a cat giving birth and a detailed diagram with male and female genitalia in school while attending sex education. His 9 year old daughter was also teary eyed when she said to him that she did not want to have a purple baby after seeing the graphic videos of a woman giving birth. Greg Well, a stay at home dad’s reason was ‘Does a seven-year-old need to see (genitalia)? Give me a break. They grow up so fast these days. It’s more important to keep them safe.’ While he supports sex education, yet he insisted that he has the right to determine the contents of the education that should be shown to his children. Given of the danger of our kids in the hands of abusers and molesters, in a way, it is beneficial to have sex education classes, but as early as 7 and 9 years old? I don’t think so! Exposing the children early on to sex education can do more harm than good. Remember that children are still not accountable for their sins because they are still lacking the age of reason wherein they can fully comprehend the meaning and consequences of their actions. Thus teaching them things that are beyond their understanding only destroys their natural innocence which is slowly depreciating among kids these days, thanks to sex education! source
