My Mom asked me to Google for the mp3 (after she read an article on her today in a Filipino-Canadian newspaper)… and I somehow landed here. Apparently, Virna Lisa is now a social worker in the U.S. and didn’t get one cent for singing it (as she was a volunteer, no contract)… while Tito Sotto, Ernie dela Pena and Homer Flores continue to rake in millions of pesos from royalties. Kinda sad. They should give her like… a few bucks or something. You know, enough to buy at least a few Jollibee Chicken Joy meals… Umm, yeah.

Ramos and Juan Ponce Enrile …I was only 18 years old then and now at 43 years old, hearing this song still brings me back memories of what I did together with thousands and thousands of Filipinos who occupied EDSA…I must say that after 4 Presidents (Cory Aquino,Fidel Ramos,Joseph Estrada and Gloria Arroyo) and 25 years of hope for a better Philippines, we haven’t really made another step further for our country. I made a very big step when I was 18 at EDSA and this past 25 years have made our country difficult in every aspect I call life. Please, to all Filipinos who value what we have fought for at EDSA…”THE FILIPINO IS WORTH DYING FOR! HINDI KA NAG-IISA…”
