Tens of Thousands lined the streets of Capital Manila from Greenhills, EDSA, Ayala, Roxas BLVd., Quirino, Taft going to the Manila Cathedral as the remains of the Global Icon of Democracy were taken to the streets. People cheered and shed tears at the same time, donning in all hues of yellow and flashing the famous Laban Sign while chanting love messages for the saintly President. A storm of confetti poured all over the casket of the former President wherever she passed by. This is a reminiscent of what had transpired 26 years ago during Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino’s funeral.
