bishop rosalesHours before the SONA commence today, the almost quiet Archbishop Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales finally gave the infamous Gloria a mouthful of advice which I think she herself can’t stomach. The Good Cardinal urged the President to stop beating around the bush and tell the people the truth. For 8 consecutive years since 2001, not a single of Gloria’s Bragging about her administration’s accomplishment even came near to fulfillment. The people are so exhausted with the pretensions and charade in the congress whenever she speaks. Actually there is more probability that Harry Potter exist in the real world compared to Gloria’s blabber of lies. Inquirer.net has this to say:

Manila Archbishop Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales Sunday asked President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to tell the true state of the nation when she delivers her address before a joint session of Congress Monday afternoon.

Rosales said Ms Arroyo should tell the truth not only about her accomplishments but also about her mistakes as her term ends next year, the CBCP news website reported Sunday.

“She (has) also done something good, and people will not take it against her if she mentions them,” Rosales was quoted as saying.

“Next year will be different, that’s why she has to tell what is true—that’s what people want to hear,” he added.

The CBCP website said Rosales’ remarks were made in a taped interview with the Church-run Veritas 846 radio station. The interview, it said, would be aired Monday.

The Manila archbishop said Ms Arroyo would do the country well if she reported on her failures because her successor could learn from them.

“And why not, if she really is a Christian, admit her mistakes and shortcomings?” he said.

Rosales said pastors like him were waiting for Ms Arroyo to truthfully report on what she has done during her stint as President, serving the longest since Ferdinand Marcos.
