If you don’t know Cardinal Dario Castrillon Hoyos, well let me remind you that he is the one responsible in the talks with the SSPX mules. (read more of the Cardinal’s “alleged” biased towards the SSPX) I’m sorry if I appended the word “mules” because I can’t help it its a compulsion. Mules actually is synonymous to stubbornness, so go figure! Back to the issue, the Vatican has replaced Cardinal Hoyos all of a sudden. According to some reports, he was replaced because of his impending retirement at the age of 80 years old. But the controversial move was not explained, even by the Pope himself.

My guess is that, the Vatican was not happy with the way Cardinal Hoyos is dealing with the reconciliation process because many Catholic Critics are saying that the Cardinal is doing more harm than good by tolerating the utter and obvious doctrinal errors and disobedience of the schismatic society. He has been lenient despite and in spite of the abuses which the society has committed against the p[patience and authority of the Pope. One such instance is the denial of the SSPX bishop of the holocaust which instead of meeting a disciplinary action, gained a lifting of the excommunication instead. Some observers even believed that the Cardinal is playing the role of the SSPX’s lawyer rather than a negotiator for the Vatican.

With this development, the Vatican would eventually be stricter in the terms that could be implemented for the reconciliation process. The effort to reconcile with the Society of St. Pius X will now be headed by Cardinal William Levada, the highest-ranking U.S. churchman in the Vatican hierarchy. Levada heads the Vatican’s powerful orthodoxy watchdog, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which Benedict headed for decades before becoming pope in 2005.

The events unfolding for the SSPX keeps getting better and better. They were so arrogant before as to say that Benedict XVI is on their side. Now it seems these SSPX mules are now eating their earlier statements because its obvious that for the past months, Benedict XVI kept on reiterating again and again that the society “HAS NO CANONICAL STATUS” (which means all of the ministry, ordination and sacraments administered are not valid), that the society “NEEDS TO RECOGNIZE AND ACKNOWLEDGE THE TEACHINGS OF THE VATICAN II” and that there are so “MANY DOCTRINAL ERRORS IN THE SOCIETY“.

Wow! If the SSPX is indeed the true Catholic Church as what they always claim in blogs and forums, then I wonder why Bishop Fellay begged the Pope to lift their excommunication? How come the alleged true church is bowing down on Rome? its easy —- because they are not!

I guess Fr. Z would not be happy with this development hahaha. If before he breathes fire, with this development, expect that he’ll spew lava from his mouth, fuming and foaming in rage! LOL
