When my pagerank hit at PR3 last December 2008, I was devastated. I know the consequences of having a low Page Rank, one of which is that your blog would not be indexed well in the Google Search Results. This means that that once the blog loses grip on the google search, the traffic and readers would also decline. So I made a bold move last February 2009 to renovate this blog and the other blog that I created in early January this year, despite the consequences of losing traffic and further decline of feed readers. My primary purpose was to clean my blogs of “unnecessary” clutters that would hinder SEO on my blogs. My first task was to redesign the blog in accordance to being search friendly, reader friendly and traffic friendly. Next step was to reorganize the categories to make it more interactive for the readers. Then the last step was crucial to my financial stability: Stop the Ka Pepe entirely, which I did. We all know that Ka Pepe’s are suckers of blog PR.

And after just two months of relaunch of OTWOMD, and 3 months after I relaunched Bachelor Pod, I succeeded on my goal.

I always maintain this belief that the efficacy and quality of blog does not only rely on the number of comments because studies show that 70% of the readers are none commenters. This is always the misconception of some bloggers: they often equate the number of comments to the quality of content.

Quality of content is twofold: The content itself and the readers.

And as a proof, my silent readers grew, as seen on the spike of my traffic and my feed subscribers (241 as of this writing).

My Alexa Rank however dropped to 400K from the previous 180K that I had since February when I closed my blogs for renovation. But we all know that Alexa only registers those who have Alexa plugins on their browsers. So I really dont care if my Alexa is down as long as the traffic is spiking, my blog is gaining PR and being indexed in search engines and the readers are multiplying. The more readers the more opportunity to evangelize.

I know that its still a long way to go to attain my goal of being at least PR5 and acquiring a daily hits of 5000 (yeah right, dream on Bluep). But what’s the use of my blog title if I will not stand by it: So Bluepanjeet Blogs will continue to serve Catholics and Christians in the blogosphere in reaching for its dreams.

And here is another proof, I just checked it the other day my blog PRs for confirmation, and it turns out that my browser is not lying. OTWOMD regained the lost PR4 and my Bachelor Pod gained two step higher as PR2 (formerly PR0).

This is already a big leap for me, after all those late nights of designing and thinking of the concept of my blogs just to give my readers the best possible Catholic and Bachelor blogs experience, the effort and hardship finally paid off in just two months. It’s a well known fact that once you lose your PR its so hard to regain it especially when google has already labeled your blog as a malaware site or a link farm. But I played the odds to the detriment of my financial resources. But then again, its all worth it. Gaining my PR back in just span of two months is already uplifting for me. No pain, No gain, as they always say. Thus, Bluepanjeet Blogs is back on the game. No more Ka Pepe. 

My secret aside from technical know how? Pray! Even miracles do happen in the blogosphere!
