[...] Previously, a mysterious woman visited Teresing on her cell and there was a supernatural spread of fragrance all over the room. The Mysterious Lady also requested that Teresing and the Mother Prioress should do an act of sacrifice by washing the feet of the latter and drinking the water from it by the former. Thus Salvation of their souls would be assured, the same act that was asked of St. Bernadette in Lourdes centuries ago when she ate the grass and drink the mud-filled water from the spring.
This was actually the first time i've read about the story of Teresing Castillo and the apparitions of Lipa, and i should say that this is one the best filipino stories i've ever read. I was just wondering how come the story of such an assuming novice, whose dedication to her religious beliefs was concealed to most fiipinos. And if her true account was verified and was given authenticity by vatican, how come it was concealed to public knowledge? Were they (hierarchy) trying to protect teresing and the order from ridicule or they just deliberately wanted to suppress her true story because of jealousy?, for teresing during those time was just a rookie, so to speak, as far as religious devotion is concerned. Was religious politicking played a part to hide this?
