I do not know what’s the fuss about having Jesus printed on your license plate. I don’t get the logic of some Americans. They allow vanity license plates as trivial as pro-abbreviations, but they can’t tolerate religion? These vanity plates are ready to be issued in the Sunshine state with the crucified Christ on it. But some people in Florida were not happy about it. seesh party poopers. However, Florida Governor Charlie Crist has been urged to veto legislation that would introduce the number plates, but has so far flatly refused.

“I would not veto those …. No, I would not,”

Crist said. Asked if he has a problem with Jesus on a license plate, Crist responded

“I don’t. No.”

On the question of Church and state, Crist argued that

“If they don’t want one they don’t have to buy one”

and defended the plates on the basis that

“I think it … What’s it say? ‘In God We Trust’ on every single piece of monetary, coins and paper we have? I think it’s fine.”

at last, there are still people left who makes sense. Why are people so testy these days with Jesus? I mean, they hang naked women on bilboards, they blow vampire images on magazines, yet they can’t stand Jesus License Plate that would probably not attract attention at all if it were not stared at. I can’t believe that people treat him as if his picture was a disease. seesh. What happened to freedom of expression. They can plaster porn on the street yet they can’t even tolerate the symbol of human salvation? This world is really going nuts!

Here is the interview of Governor Crist:

It says “In God we trust”, not “In Jesus we trust” on our money. What makes you think the god being referred to is Yaweh?

another question is, bakit ang daming bloggers dito na inis na inis kay Jesus. What? Can’t they look at Jesus and celebrate our salvation? Maybe they are just afraid to confront their sins. Hmmm…it is about Pride. One of those deadly sins.

In God We Trust was not placed on or money until the 1950s as a hysterical reaction to Communism, like the words “under God” in the pledge of Allegiance. The founding fathers had no intention of putting it in the common lexicon. Anyone ever notice that the word God is nowhere to be fond in the Declaration of Independence or Constitution. “Creator” is used in the Declaration, but it does not define what creator could mean.
