a3This is another of Busted Halo’s original web series called “The Princess, The Priest and the War for the Perfect Wedding” in which two opposing camps (The Bride and the Priest) help solved the mystery of the Catholic Wedding in the form of so many restrictions and questions that ordinary couples are afraid to ask. This weeks episode tackles why Catholic Weddings are done inside the Catholic Church and not on the outdoors like what other Christian Denomination does in the beach, under the sea or anywhere else in the world. Watch this video, this is very enlightening.

Episode 3: Why Can’t We Get Married On The Beach?

The Hosts: Dr. Christine B. Whelan, is an Iowa-based social historian, professor, journalist and author. She is the author of Marry Smart: The Intelligent Woman’s Guide to True Love, and Why Smart Men Marry Smart Women. Fr. Eric Andrews CSP is the pastor of Blessed John XXIII parish, which serves as the Catholic campus ministry for the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Prior to entering the priesthood, he worked for Jim Henson and the Muppets on a variety of television productions.

I have always dreamed of getting married in the beach. And yes, I know this for a fact that the Catholic Church now forbids beach weddings, then I guess I will just have to settle for a beach reception. I just have one problem though… I need to find my groom first. LOL! Nice post, Bleup!

i attended a beach wedding once. truth be told, it’s a disaster. no one can hear what the pastor (it’s a protestant wedding) or the couples are saying (bad sound system, plus the splashing waves) tapos, everything got blown by the wind every now and then. it’s distracting, really.
ang nakakatawa pa, ninangs came in high heels, which is just impractical when walking on sand. hehe…

Pasiuna: To prove that I am a person, I have to type the security word shown in the picture.

The word is…Ah! another JOKE FOR ME HA? toast Another COINCIDENCE for the occasion. Kayati basad.

My homework: Blog the coincidence bearing the address – http://daarbzz.wordpress.com/toast-the-word

@bjeet . estudyante sa Bisayang Lenguawahe …your homework is to know how to sing the song and understand the meaning. “Dahong Laya”

    Ah! perfect… wedding that is!

Getting into the sacrament of Matrimony is heaven by itself – working for PERFECTION while ON… but people wants THE GRAND OPENING! grandeur – - the feeling of THAT DAY…SPECIAL DAY…AND FUSSINESS – - uniqueness.. CREATIVITY —

but when the Church says, ENOUGH! then… you better find a way around the corner and start searching for a hard headed priest who can defy and find a reason to be kicked in THE BUTT by the CHURCH AUTHORITY IN DEFIANCE and resistance of the “NO BEACH WEDDING FOR THE CATHOLICS DIRECTIVE”.

hahaha…I have a similar experience with broutoy in this beach wedding (OCEAN BEACH PA GIOD!) I agree with brotherutoy on why avoid beach wedding.

Instead, I recommend VIRGIN FOREST WEDDING or to make things simple just go to the Church or Basilikas or just a Wedding sa Kapilya puedi na.

Wedding is one of the most important part of human life. It is a union of souls. As such, I believe that it should be shared with the Church and focus on God all throughout the wedding. And where we could concentrate on God during wedding, that is inside the Church, in front of teh altar.
