   Hi,
   Thanks for the information. We are located in Guam (out in the pacific) and can’t do much until the official website is open and is taking registration for the passes, meals, etc. i tried hooking up with a group from the states or from europe, but they will only assist us from a US State (even though we are a US Territory) – so we have to make plans to get to LA or Newark and then they can assist us from there. Any suggestions? When do you think they will name the actual place (main place) so we can start hunting for hotel accommodation? H E L P!! Thank you =) and God Bless = ) Tricia from Guam

   Hello Trish

   I believe they are not yet going to register pilgrims. Its too early. The cross and icon has just been passed on last palm sunday and it will take a year or so before they allow you to register. There is already an official place, its Madrid Spain.

   The best thing you can do right now is be active on your parish, contact your Parish Priest and tell him your desire to go to Spain for the World Youth Day, be ready spiritually and paray to God that your Visa wont be denied.

   I am from madagascar, thanks a lot for the information about the WYD2011 websit, That’s great!!!!i was a leader group for the WYD2008 in Sydney, it was so nice and we had a new experience to develop our spiritual, moral and knowledge. we thank God for his Kindness!!!!

   Hi I am a church Newspaper Editor in Ethiopia. I want to participate in the Madrids WYD for the first time. I attended various workshops in Oslo, London and France. I want any body to tell me:-
   1. How I can join the YWD of 2011 in Madrid.

   2. How I can get a sponsor for my entire expences.

    Hi, I was fortunate to attend WYD2008 in Australia. We are a group fom South Africa, and in the progress of preparing to go to Madrid. Kindly advise when we can commence to register for WYD 2011. I trust that the official website will eventually be translated into english as well?

    Hi Im Dan from the philippines, I am a Church youth leader …Last year my Parish sent a delegation to the WYD 2008 in Sydney, Australia and fortunately I was one of them. My Parish shouldered al the expenses then. But now I am doubtful if my they could still send a delegate to the world youth day 2011 since spain is too far and really expensive, on the other hand we are affected by the financial crisis..I am very willing to join and participate the wyd 2011 not just for myself but for my co-youth in our parish and for the community where we actvely participate… is there anyone or group in Spain you know that is/are willing to sponsor? thanks!

    Thank you very much Bluepanjeet, I rally appreciate any help which enable me to attend and report the spiritual unity of the world youth to my fellow in Ethiopia who can not afford to join this event physically. I am inlonging to report the exact spirit of the festival, in a first hand account, on the only National Catholic Church Newspaper of Ethiopia to which I work as an Editor. The support is Not only just to one person me, but will be great contribution to the Ethiopian YOUTH.
    The Ethiopian Catholic Church also take an account on such support.

    I live in Paris and i tried to look for an official websit of WYD2011 in Madrid, i did not see…oh!oh! where is it? Like last WYd2008 in Sydney,it was so good but everybody could see the websit. i am so astonished about SpainDiocese and young!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    helo Dear brother i am deva prasad from india. ive attended WYD 2005 in germany. its great experience to tell with. at that time i was working with Youth in my diocese of nellore which is in andhra pradesh. again i want to attend the wyd 2011Madrid. now im not in the age of a youth. is ther anyway for me to attend the mega event please guide me regards in god deva prasad

    Hi, i was among a group of students from Ghana with our school chaplain who attended the world youth day 2005 in Germany. It was a very wonderful and beautiful experience and we were really happy and blessed. I will like to know if there’s anyway we could be sponsored to come witness world youth day in Madrid with all the other pilgrims? I will also like to know how i can register to be a volunteer?     Hola! I’m Elaine Grace Capalla from the Philippines. I’ve been looking forward to join the World Youth Day 2011 celebration in Madrid, Spain. I’m actively serving several religious organizations to the best of my abilities and talents such as singing in the music ministry under Light of Jesus Prayer Community, Healing ministry under Divine Mercy Marian Apostolate and reader’s/lectors ministry in our local parish. It has been a great pleasure and privilege to serve the Lord to the best I can with my available resources and talents. I’m hoping and praying to be able to experience a great celebration with my fellow youth from the different parts of the world. I pray that I would be able to celebrate my birthday as well during the one of dates(August 19) of the World Youth Day . It would be a great gift from anyone with a good heart to support my finances since, having only a part of my savings and earnings as a government employee would be a little short I guess to be able to meet the expenses. I believe in God’s providence and so I entrust to His Divine Will to let me join and be blessed and for me to return His blessings to my fellow youth and other brothers and sisters whom I can come in contact with. With God all things are possible!

    Hey, would you have any suggestions for fund raising. I am a convert and my parents aren’t supportive about me going. I have only been Catholic for a year. They would rather me do something else. They want me to raise at least half. I will be praying.
