Like blogrush, I tried using entrecard not as a permanent widget but a temporary decor for my blog. You see, I don’t like having so many widgets on my blog that arent useful at all. The reason why I removed blogrush from my sidebar is because it doesnt do anything. Originally, it promised to give traffic to my blog but actually everyday, it only gives one or two referrals and sometimes none at all. The worse is that it renders the loading of my page too much for other readers to bear. Sometimes these widgets causes crashes and hangs on browsers that is why I removed it. Heck I don’t even remember when I took it out. And recently, I was really planning to remove entrecard because as I see it, its useless. I mean yeah, people advertise on my entrecard widget (with the cheap price that I have of 8 units per ad space, who could resist that?) and people drop their entrecards, but do they really read my stuff? Aside from my blogfriends and regular readers who continuously drop their entrecard, most of my droppers remains as such. Until when I came back in the blogosphere last week, I received an email from entrecard containing this very amusing message:

Your account ‘OTWOMD – On The Wings Of My Dream’ on entrecard.com has been deleted. The administrator gave the following reason:

rule 11: autoplaying audio: This includes music that plays automatically when you visit the page, or short audio ads that come up unannounced.

Please contact deleted@entrecard.com if you have any questions regarding this action.

Yep. Just because I play music on my blog, entrecard has deleted my accoun, without any warning, without any further notice. And to top it off, I still have 3000+ entrecard units that I haven’t used and saved for future advert needs. Isn’t entrecard fair or what? Entrecard and PayPerPost are the same: They both control the contents and format of your blog. I can still tolerate useless widgets, but to dictate the contents of my blog? This is war!

Read some of the rules of Entrecard, some of them are totally laughable. The rules are not just stupid, its even exclusive, discriminating and stifling. And they call this a social network wherein a blog that doesn’t speak English cannot have entrecards? Haha As if when you see an avatar you still need a language translator just to understand the Graphics LOL

Entrecard is not youtube. The cyberspace wouldn’t be the same without Youtube. But Cyberspace without Entrecard? haha Oh My Goodness, the entrecard owner is so ambitious that he feels his entrecard would rake millions like youtube. For the entrecard owner who annoyed us with its simpleton messages in our email every month, telling us to do this and to do that, sheeesh! Dream on dude. Blogs would continue to exist and rake traffic even without entrecard!

and the last part of the email message telling me to contact entrecard, probably for me to beg them to return my account, I say, Good Riddance haha! They made it easy for me to remove the widget that is not only stupid, but also an eyesore! This calls for a celebration!

Entrecard sucks, and it will go down in history as it is! The claim that it brought traffic to my blog is a complete lie because after they deleted my account the traffic surged even more. I don’t know what happened. Maybe its a sweet revenge or an emphasis on Good Karma. To Entrecard, YOU SUCK!
