When I went to my facebook, I saw this link that was posted by Ate Bebe on her wall. It reads: Pinoys 5th hungriest worldwide. It was an article written by Darwin G. Amojelar of the Manila Times. Reading the article in disbelief, I can’t help my self but gasp on some air as I lay suffocated by the fact that despite and in spite of the propaganda of this current administration, Filipinos are still dying of hunger and struggling to survive by scavenging on the streets and trash cans for left over foods. According to the article and I quote: “Gallup International said 40 percent of the Filipino respondents were found to have experienced an empty stomach in late 2007 to the present. The country landed in fifth place out of the 55 countries worldwide surveyed. The Gallup poll interviewed more than 58,600 people between June and early September 2008, and the survey represented the views of more than 1.5 billion global citizens. During the global survey period, inflation in the Philippines surged to double digits, averaging 12.03 percent from June to September.”
Just after reading this article, a news anchor on national television reported that most of the Billions of Pesos scammed by JocJoc Bolante were distributed to local officials from congressmen to mayors during the 2004 elections. The nerve huh?
People are dying of hunger, families eating and cooking leftover foods found in trash and children dying of malnutrition and yet these politicians have the guts to steal from the people’s money. If their is one evil left that the Filipinos have not eradicated through the years, its INSENSITIVITY.
truly, years from now, our children will be called PATAY GUTOM!

More like “Matay Gutom” dahil na”matay” na gutom! Kawawa naman talaga ang Pilipinas kung patuloy na pansariling kapakanan lamang ang naiisip ng mga tinaguriang lider ng bayan.

Bluep, pwede kaya tayong mag blog-brigade. na-inspire lang kasi ako dun sa sunday article ni jim paredes dreaming for a “barack obama” of this seemingly hopeless country. the idea of the “prayer brigade” is to write a short prayer asking for the right leader before the 2010 election and say this prayer online or privately for 210 days. of course promote it through blogs, our simple way of lighting the darkness that we are in. wat dyo think?

That’s true. Eh kasi nga medyo kasalanan din naman ng iba nating kababayan. di ko lang binigyan ng emphasis sa taas kasi para namang insulto na nagugutom na sila tapos iblablame ko pa haha. Pero in one way or another kasalanan din nila. Nagsisiksikan sila sa maynila at nagtitiis na squatter samantalang ang lawak ng probinsya. tama sabi mo pwede magtanim. kami nga eh ang dami naming tanim dito sa aming likod bahay. di na kami nabili ng kalamnsi. di na kami nabiuli ng kalamyas at kamatis. kahit naman sa paso tutubo ang lara o sili eh.

of course it will all boil down to corruption kasi yung pera na sana ay para sa development ng province ay napupunta sa bulsa ng pulitiko. which causes unemployment in the province thats why they migrate.

di ba dapat ito na talaga ang ginagawa natin? We can do so much but in the end, Diyos pa rin ang may kapangyarihan to turn things around. So what we should do really is storm the gates of heaven with prayers…. Ito dapat ang ginagawa natin first and foremost before good deeds…

sobra naman ang ginagawa ngayon kay jocjoc sana naman wag ganun at sana naman wag ng makulong e masyado ng nababastos yung tao e maysakit na nga,sana ganito nalang…ipakain nalang sa kanya yung fertilizer na katumbas nung halaga na ninakaw para quits na.(tapos yung di nya maubos kay Ateng Glo at dun sa ibang nakakuha ng share).
