Reyna Elena started blogging on March 2006, while I had my own beginnings that can be traced since August 2005. When I went self-hosted last may of 2007, Reyna Elena’s blog was practically swarmed by OFWs and other bloggers who also work in other countries. Being a newbie back then I never gave any importance to fame, to hell I care if you are famous or not, what matters to me is that I like what you write and thats it. I cannot really say if Reyna Elena back then was already famous because I was naive about blog popularity. What I know is that she receive this tons of comments from all the people around the world which practically stunned me because back then I was already lucky to even have at least one commenter for the day.

All I wanted was to expand my apostolate through out the numerous souls in the blogosphere. Many times I’ve experienced this thing that we bloggers call as “Newbies Dilemma” wherein already established bloggers are constantly ignoring you no matter how you frequent their site and befriend them. Such egos right? But when I visited Reyna Elena’s blog, I was actually surprised that he visited my site in return. Not just once, twice or thrice but on a regular basis.

She became my reader and I became her follower (in some aspects of her political and social beliefs haha). For me that was already an honor. And since then I became the Queen’s staunchest ally, unofficial adviser-slash-chancellor, elf cum worker and a studious apprentice, minsan pa nga negotiator haha.

If there is one person (aside from the queens original 8 fairies and elves including chuva and diwa) among her blog friends who witnessed the rise to stardom of this socially relevant and politically inclined royal blogger, it would probably me.

I witnessed how some egotistic bloggers from manila dissed her and our circle as “jologs” and “nobodies” when it comes to national issues and matters of opinion. I saw how she was betrayed by green eyed monsters on the bowels of plurk and twitter. But you see, when underdogs are always demeaned, maligned and looked down upon, most likely destiny comes to their aid and fate favors them. That’s why this former nobody is not only an inspiration to many but is now an undeniable Authority in the blogosphere who does not monopolize opinion and power, but shares them to fellow bloggers regardless of blog status quo and influence. Like what she always says to her fellow nobodies, “join me, its lonely here at the top” haha
