A classic case of political stupidity
In my previous post, I wrote about the disgusting manner on how an issue was mishandled by our august Sen. Panfilo Lacson and her partner in Crime Sen. Jamby Madrigal during a privilege speech intended to expose the alleged 2009 budget “insertion” of the C5 highway which involved Senate President Manny Villar. Mr. Lacson was so confident in his expose and discovery that when he delivered his speech, he was already certain that Sen. Manny Villar was guilty beyond reasonable doubt of the not yet proven fallacy of corruption in his camp. Now the truth surfaced a day after when the senate discovered that it was a mistake on the part of Lacson to have misunderstood the budget appropriations for the C5 road construction dubbed as “double funding”.
An employee of the Budget department here in our province who is also well versed in the fiscal budget explained to me (and this was also explained by DBM Sec. Andaya on radio), that it was not a double appropriations but a normal process of continuity for the project awaiting completion. They call it as “realignment” and not “insertion” as what Mr. Lacson stressed in the senate. The Budget that appears on the first proposal was also the same amount on the second proposal but that doesn’t mean that it will double the amount.
Kumbaga mga kakosa, parang re-affirmation lang sa papel na may budget uli ng ganun ang halaga from the previous budget proposal last year dahil hindi pa nga tapos ang project. In layman’s term, para lang sinasabi sa papel na hindi pa tapos itong project na ito ay kailangng tapusin na cover pa rin nung original amount that was proposed previously.
Isa pang punto, one cannot commit any act of corruption unless it will go through a bidding. In the case of the accusation to Villar, there was no existent bidding, so pano magkakaroon ng Corruption?
But that’s not the catch here, eto pa.
Secretary Andaya claimed that on the said budget proposal, all Senators signed it including Lacson and Madrigal. Now what does that mean? It means Sen. Lacson accused Sen. Manny Villar of something he did not do, from a project that he is not involved with, and a corruption charge that does not exist in the first place BUT with his full knowledge as reflected by the presence of his signature. Timano, hindi nagbabasa ang ating kagalang galang na Senador ng mga papel na kanyang pinipirmahan.
I was laughing when I heard on the radio when a certain public official said that “Magbasa kasi muna bago magreklamo” hahaha.
This is a classic case of stupidity my avid Kakosas. Nakakahiya na on National TV kuntodo sigaw ka sa iyong akusasyon dun sa isang tao tapos malalaman na hindi naman pala totoo at ang malala pa, madidiskubre na bopols ka at hindi ka nagbabasa ng iyong mga pinipirmahan.
Kung ako nasa katayuan ni Sen. Lacson, mahihiya ako sa balat ko at papalamon ako sa lupa right there and then haha. Ang hilig naman kasi sa intriga at mga expose. wala ng inatupag kungdi imbestigasyon, ayan ang napapala ng mga Tsismoso at Intrigero haha!
Kaya next time, please wag nyo iboto ang mga ganitong mga KSP at hayok sa mga expose kasi nasasayang ang pera ng bayan. Wala namang napapala sa expose. Ayan tuloy sa sobrang kahihiyan,nag Boycott sa senado kanina LOL
kaya pag ako naging senador, ipapasa ko agad ang “anti-stupidity bill” at maglalagay ako ng malaking karatula sa pinto ng senado na nagsasabing: “Bawal dito ang tanga!” hahaha
Seriously, the Senators should be prudent enough to make false and baseless accusations. They are destroying themselves by making acrimonious exchanges with each other. Dapat talaga hindi pwede na maupo sa senado ang hindi mga Lawyer kasi ganyan ang nangyayari.
Sen. Lacson should fire his staff and researchers for giving him a dose of his own humiliating expose’s. LOL

agree ako sa jan panjeet. I was in the proceeding and saw how emphatic Sen. Lacson was in his speech. Akala mo tunay hehehe.
Tatlong araw na naetsapwera kami sa senado dahil sa expose na yan. yun unang araw pinaghintay kami matapos ang mga isang oras na speech ni Lacson. Sinuspend dahil di magkasundo kung sino ang magtatanong. Yan ang mga senador natin. Karamihan ang bababaw.

I have one word for Ping Lacson: TANGA!
Yan kasi, nagdididikit kay kuryente girl Jamby kaya nakuryente din siya. Jamby has so many bungled exposes in the past she should be stoned to death. And Ping? Bunutan ng kilay sa Luneta! LOL

Hindi naman kasi ako maka villar o maka lacson. Pagdating sa politics neutral ako kasi sa totoo lang parepareho lang naman sila.
Kaya lang ang tingin ko ay over the line si Sen. Lacson when he accused Villar. He could have just clarified it first and asked an expert sa DBM o kaya sa DPWH kung existent nga ba yung double funding at yung project na double ang presyo.
Malaki talaga ang responsibility nila to be prudent in whatever they are exposing.

Kahit saan kanto at tambayan yan ang bukang bibig ngayon kay Ping haha Ewan ba kung bakit di muna pina double check ni Senator yung appropriations na yun sa staff nya.
sa DZRH ang tawag kay Sen. Jamby ay Jamboy haha Na-alala mo ba yung sa NBN-ZTE na may pirma daw si FG sa papel haha yun pala eh initial nung tauhan dun mismo sa PhilForest na nagreceive nung papael ahaha. Giunawa nya nung napahiya sya, sinisante ata yung staff.
Dapat kasi hindi lang sila asa sa staff, dapat nagbabasa din sila. kasi nagbubunga palagi ang mga ganyang padalos dalos LOL

Yan ang mahirap kapag hindi naman talaga ikaw ang gumagawa ng research ng mga expose mo…daming mga pulitiko nga e hinire pa mga aktibista para lang masabi na para sila sa bayan…tsk tsk tsk!! of course itong mga tibak naman na ito e pagkatapos magtrabaho sa mga pulitiko e..nawawala sa linya.

That’s true. Most of this senators are so dependent on their staff.
I heard that rumor. Totoo pala yun ate bebe ano? may mga binabayaran na aktibista sa mga rally. Kaya alam mo hindi na nakikinig ang Gobyerno sa mga rally kasi nga lama naman nila na pinopondohan ito ng mga kalaban na congressman at senador. What happened to the true-blue activists ano? Parang lahat ata ng aktibista ngayon eh bayaran na lang.

They hired activist para maging staff nila, yung mga nag aaccept ng work na yun, sa una tingin nila e makakapagcontribute sila sa pagbabago ng sistema pero sa bandang huli…lalamunin na sila ng sistema, Just like what happened to Mike Defensor noong napunta sa gobyerno.
Pero sa hanay ng mga aktibistang nananatili sa mga progresibong organisasyon, I don’t think na bayaran sila. Tinalikuran na nga nila lahat e. Para pa rin sila syempre sa tunay na pagbabago.
