I am led to believe that Filipinos have deep seated tendencies to get jealous based on what I have watched on the news. Sen. Ping Lacson has just lashed Sen. Manny Villar in his privilege speech, accusing him of irregularities and corruption, yet we all know that Villar is leading the survey among the Presidentiables neck to neck with VP Noli De Castro. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not for Manny Villar either, but this blatant public display of envy on National TV is really disgusting. Why on earth would a Gentleman from the chamber of the senate accuse a colleague in front of the cameras for everyone to see. Why not approach him first, ask him about the issue then if he resist, then that’s the time to grill him. Philippine politics is getting lower each day that I can’t help but say that it is obvious in the eyes of many that they are pulling a colleague down… Crab Mentality at its finest. Remember that FPJ and Erap won by sympathy votes (to hell with Gloria and Garci), lest we forget this important lesson in history, that Filipinos are still into Cinderella Stories, that whoever is shot down by black propagandas and smear campaigns has the highest probability to win the election as time and history have proved. So if you don’t want Villar to win the Presidency, then shut your mouth and just do what you are mandated to do–lawmaking! After all, Ping and the rest of the senators have corruption backgrounds in the past, so there is really no point of washing their hands because I tell you, they are all dirty! No exemption to the rule!
