Pope Benedict after arriving in Sydney was given by the Australians a Flockstar Welcome. On Roads, benches and even sidewalks, Banners and smiling Aussies and Pilgrims from around the World greeted the Pope. A WOMAN who lives beside the retreat where Pope Benedict XVI is resting up ahead of his World Youth Day appearances invited the pontiff for coffee in her home. She says it feels as though God has blessed her property and moved in next door. Celna Pellizzon lives adjacent to the Kenthurst Study Centre in northwest Sydney. She has told reporters that she hopes the Pontiff will pop around for a coffee and some cake in the next few days. The Pope has also been entertained by a concert of chamber music as he rests up ahead of taking part in World Youth Day (WYD) events on Thursday. “Prior to his 6pm dinner, His Holiness attended a small private concert performed by seven members of the Sydney Symphony Training Orchestra, who played Schubert and Mozart pieces,” a WYD spokesperson said.
