An ad campaign started by Gabriela Party List Group through a Manila based advertising firm called DM9 JaymeSyfu had just won a Bronze Media Lion at the Cannes International Advertising Festival. The posters were adhered to electric lampposts using duct tapes to make it appear that the woman in the poster were either blindfolded, gagged or tied up. The ad sought the creative minds of DM9 JaymeSyfu to create this ad in order to highlight a campaign for women to speak up. From the 2,000 entries from 76 countries all over the world, this advertising award given to this particular ad is the Philippine’s first. Below are some of the actual shots of the posters in action.
