18-ces-drilonEarly this morning, news broke out throughout the airwaves about the abduction of Ces Drilon and two other crew, Jimmy Encarnacion and Angelo Valderama. The reporter’s confidential trip was made possible by the invitation of Mindanao State University Professor Octavio Dinampo “to cover a special event.” The aircraft crew of the plane which brought Drilon and her staff in the southernmost part of Mindanao offered security, but she insisted otherwise. It was said that Dinampo fetched the Drilon et al at a university hostel and along the way near the Kulasi town, armed men headed by Albader Parad of the ASG intercepted the party and was taken to Indanan town of Sulu. ABS CBN on their part released an official statement saying:

“Until we learn more details, ABS-CBN News requests other media to report on this matter with utmost consideration for the safety of our news team. ABS-CBN News is in touch with the families, and asks that their privacy be respected.”

As of this writing, there is still no lead on the whereabouts of Drilon and her crew. Ces Drilon is one of the most respected TV Journalist of ABS CBN who frequents to ASG infested areas of Mindanao to cover stories and documentaries.

I hope it all turns out well. Who knows? Maybe a week from now, she’ll return with a story that will drive ratings through the roof.

I hope she will be out safe after that abduction. ASG should be wiped out else they will cause more harm than good.

I don’t why Abs-cbn would always send their journalist to these terrorist infested areas where they know full well that these are terrorist who could just change their mind about giving an interview to the media and just kidnap them for ransom instead? It’s not like this hasn’t happened before. Why do they have to interview them in the first place? for what purpose? Hell I don’t see any journalist or news company for that matter who would willingly send their reporters to get an interview of Osama bin laden….maybe ABS-CBN will consider it.

Call me bad but.. This is the price of being dumb and arrogant! God help them..
