Do you know that google and technorati penalize blogs that engage in viral tagging and link farming? If you check your technorati, it doesn’t index repetitive links from viral tags precisely because for every six months, one link is the only allowable authority for every blog. While in google, they don’t index blogs in search engines that are crawled by their robots as link farms, It will be very detrimental to your blog not being indexed in the google search because some of the traffic coming from the search engines will diminish. So how can we attain a legal and good linking of blogs? simple. Read some blogs, get the url of the particular blog post that interests you, mention a brief description (your own description and not copied) of the post, hyperlink your description towards the post, then publish. In simple terms, this is what you call a pingback. Remember that the more original your blog content is, the higher the chance to have a good PR. So when doing memes or posting news, don’t just copy paste anything because any duplication of contents even if it’s just one paragraph is a no-no. On Technorati however, they index pingbacks as a link and authority. The more blogs you link (which are not listed in your blogroll), the more chances that these blogs will also pick up some of your post and link them back to you. In this way you have the chance to tell your readers what other blogs has to say or what they have recently wrote. So today I will be starting my blog hop series as a way of review or recap of what’s happening lately in my blog community. so here goes.
- Reyna elena talks about her recent vacation experience in the Philippines and how she managed to meet some of the bloggers along the way. She even featured some of them in his blog and thanked them for the wonderful vacation that he had. And yes this time I was not included (huhuhu) because I was busy with so many things that my sked was in conflict with hers. Better luck next time for me…
- Mix Glorioso on the other hand narrates his first day high experience in Dubai and how he bumped into a very familiar bath soap that is made locally in the Philippines.
- Ate Thess nevertheless has a very interesting entry this week about her and her husband’s experience with her Father in law. It’s interesting because you wouldn’t know the ending till you have read the entry in full (syempre haha). Check it out.
- Eyna shifted to something odd this week by telling her experiences with pencils and how erasers at the tip of the pencil tastes better than anything else… Haha read it and you can somehow relate with her and her pencil…
- Antipatika nevertheless does not disappoint us when she narrated her experience in the hopia wonderland on how his hubby, Kotsengkuba, watched a favorite movie for the Nth time. It’s a revelation I tell you.
- This week is quite an experience. Whew, I am almost exhausted from blog hopping. See you again next time for another weekly recap. Ohh btw, Happy Birthday to my dear friend Chuva of Chuvachienes.Com and ProGobbler.Net. He will be featured here soon in my OTWOMD fan series hehe. Watch out because it will be a page turner. (Psst I already received the iPod. I’m going to blog about it on my summer 2008 series).
