So let say you received your license on July 2009 and your birthday is on April 15, then the expiry of your license will be on April 15, 2015 (6 years counting from the year of your license relased up to you birthday) depending if you have no violations against your professions' licensure policy. To avoid delay of license renewal, you can renew your license 3 months ahead of your expiry date. if for example, your license will expire on April 2010, therefore you can already apply for renewal in the PRC as early as January of 2010.
