Terms Of Friendship
One of the shows that I watch a few years ago on our cable was FRIENDS. I was hooked up with it like a smoker obsessed with his cigarette butts on his hand. When I had no DVD player before, I use to buy the VCD of the show?s entire season episodes. Now I have a DVD collection of 8 of all the ten seasons of friends. I?m still eyeing for the season 9 and 10. Some moralists does not like the show because of the immoral elements injected in it like Lesbianism, in-Vitro fertilization, Divorce etc.
But what some people never bothered to see is that in every episodes, there is a subtle resolution for every mistakes done by the characters. They give emphasis on the morality that a person should have without being too judgmental of one?s human mistakes. This I think is the most important of all: to look at the big picture rather than the details.
Like the show friends, we often besiege people whom we do not know by our arrogance and spite, or worse, our own friends just because of a few personality flaws. Yeah, Don?t look at me like that. I?m also guilty of the same offense. But seriously, Real friends are those who accept you despite and in spite your flaws and your appearance.
In fact, I have met some few people here on the net who I think deserve some acknowledgement for being a very good friend, not only to me but to the people who they meet here. Of course I consider everyone who knocks and comes here in OTWOMD as my friends, but you know, it takes time to fully know them, at least in the cyber sense.
So this tag given to me by Dom, Rino and Skippy is worth passing to people which I dare say are the nicest people I met on the net: selfless, thoughtful, caring and such fun to be with. Though I know some of them have already received this award, yet it is the utot (I mean the thought) that counts.
They are not obliged to pass this because I used this tag as an acknowledgement for their wonderful friendship. In Alphabetical order, and for various reasons which I would maintain the confidentiality here, let me give this to the people I call ?FRIENDS? here on the net. I made my own title for them. So starting today, whenever I refer to them here on my blog, I will use these titles, not as an insult, but as an endearment. You see, only our friends can call us the epithet they set for us because that is the way we Filipinos express our endearment and friendship. So as my friends (and I don?t care if you don?t consider me as one hahaha), let me give you my terms of endearment for you, attached in this friendship award:

Isn?t it great when you have such great friends which you haven?t met personally yet shares the joys and sadness of life here in the blogosphere. I isolated myself from my real friends outside the net to concentrate on my exam, yet here I still manage to find people who I proudly call ?FRIENDS?. They are not Chandler, Joey, Ross, Monica, Rachel and Phoebe? but they are more than the characters themselves on the show. They play their own characters according to the role they are called to fulfill and to be here in the blogosphere. And more interesting than the show itself, my ?FRIENDS? write their own stories, to be told each and every episodes from the bowels of their rich and abundant life. That is why they are such a hit on the only number one fan. The ?fan? that always watch them and share with them the life he chose to live, on the viewing panorama on his computer monitor—? Me! The Walking Contradiction.
and yes, there are still people on my blog roll whom I need to get to know more. One of these days, they will also have their own titles?. Promise yan! hahaha
