The Hundredth
here do I begin? First and foremost, I would like to thank all of you for being here. It is such a wonderful time to share with you this event. Special thank you to Chuva who took a time off from his youtube ads to feature my teaser on his blog. Also to Manilenya who uploaded the teaser on her multiply and to Pareng Ambo who featured the teaser on his sidebar. Mga Kapatid? you are the best!

I started my blogging days two years ago in friendster blog. There were no comments back then, for the span of one year and 3 months, I only got eleven comments. Now it seems that this blog is full of comments everywhere you click. Thanks to you my readers and fellow bloggers for being a part of this blog since day 1 of its conception.
Why do I have to celebrate the 100 post? It is because that my humanity is very much reflected here in the pages of OTWOMD: all of the happiness, heartaches, failures and triumphs are all documented here. It is in our humanity that I write most of the time and which inspires me to bring you my best every time a post is published.
This is a simple hobby, tuned into a passion, which later turned into a mission: The mission to tell everyone that it is okay to cry, it?s okay to get angry and it?s okay to smile and laugh at the most insignificant things precisely because we are humans. And this humanity is what I want to celebrate here.
Conceptualizing the 100th post is not an easy task. It took me a month to think thoroughly and deeply what I should come up today. Until Malen of My Nosebleed.Com inspired me to unmask myself on the net through her meme called ?the face behind the blog?. It is very inspiring that a woman like her have all the guts to tell the world who she truly is.
Being a private person and all, I always kept my identity and personal details only to my close friends. But today, as maturity asks me to, I leap a step forward in unmasking the ?true? author On The Wings Of My Dreams. Every dream has a person behind and today that person will fly, using his new wings to conquer the fear of being stalked, the fear of being ridiculed and the fear of being known throughout the blogosphere. It is getting out of my Eagle?s shell that I am sharing you this right now. And today, my shyness is what I want to conquer the most.
As the morning sun shines here in my room, simultaneously, this post will glorify the goodness of our Creator, whatever name we call him, as I publish it from the bowels of this blog.
The five videos you are about to watch are sequenced so you have to watch one at a time and I suggest do not skip on to the last vid until you are thru with the preceding (it keeps the suspense and the excitement).
Videos 2-5 are taken from my students? 4 disc actual footage during our Community Exposure for their exit evaluation presentation, in which I voluntarily edited and turned in to a 12 track DVD music videos which I?m planning to give them as my personal gift on their graduation this coming March of 2008 as new breed of Nurses. This was previewed last August by my students and some of it were shown in the whole BSN population during their Orientation Party, but the final draft will be shown here, so you will be the first one to get a preview of what it feels like to be my student, and what is ?bluepanjeet? like to be a Nursing Professor. These students are my closest friends because they showed me more lessons than I actually taught them. As of this writing, these students are now University Leaders, Deans Listers and Topnotchers on their turf. It was an experimental formula that I learned from the seminary and which I actually used on them, which changed the traditional way of teaching. It was very controversial at first but when they saw the result of our endeavor, they actually required all of the groups to come up with the same style of presentation and document everything they do in their exposure. Least to say, these videos are the inspiration of the University?s current requirement to nursing students. I?m glad my experiment on these kids proved to be successful. You?ll know why in a little later.
Through all the five videos, you will see some of my candid cameo appearances and my voice behind the cam, which sometimes gives instruction to students during our actual footage. So don?t blink or you?ll miss the chance of seeing me in passing.
These videos are the epitome of humanity in the domain of my students and my own little world, in teaching them what is truly important in life: Being human, studying for life and not for grades. You see, it is only through our own humanity that we come to see others as human beings too, deserving respect, love, care and dignity of whatever status they have in life. It will be easy for us all to help others and sympathize/empathize with their own sufferings and transgressions if we see the humanity deep within ourselves?
Watching these videos is the closest thing in seeing me? so without further ado; let me present to you the ?On The Wings Of My Dream 100th Post Special? with commentary after every video (watch the videos first before reading the commentary).

This was a shoot for my student’s exit evaluation presentation. This was impromptu. when we evaluated the videos we thought we still lack material footage for their Music Video so the crazy professor in me had to think fast. I let the girls and the boys exchange uniforms. some of them were even torn because the girls’ uniform doesn’t fit the guy’s measurements. A few minutes after changing, a heavy rain fell. I told them to go ahead and play in the rain like children. The footages you’ve seen here are their actual playing in the rain. The dances were choreagraphed by their members and I just added some “nostalgic shots”. Someof this shots were originally included in their Music Videos which they presented in the exit evaluation but in the DVD version, I had to make a different music video because this was indeed a very memorable and significant moment… Cherishing the simple joys of life… no gadgets, no complications, no judgment… just mere you enjoying the company of your fellow human being. After the last shot was taken, the rain stopped and the sun shone again.. strange but true.
Included in their nursing curriculum is to hold a seminar for children. BUt we made a twist. the group made the event an actual children’s seminar forkids with lots of dances, skits and singing. This was fully suypported by the whole Barangay officials and the turn out of children was unexpectedly big. There I saw how these students grew and mature. from being so naive, so afraid of attention, so raw and untamed, yet they held their own seminar without my intervention, just me sitting and watching them at the back while them perform one song, one dance after another. The foods that they served the children were also their recipes. Strangely enough, all of the shots here were candid and spontaneous, but as you have seen, most of the shots taken by themeselves where indeed childish and childlike.
This was not originally included in their curriculum. I suggested this particular event to my Dean which she approved. This was the activity prior to their retreat which I also gave them. I never told them that we will go here. I just asked them to bring the necessary materials and practice their songs, dances and skits which they did on the children’s seminar. To their surprise when we finally arrived here.This is the same home for the aged that I support till now. Every semester, I take a class or group with me here to visit this abandoned elderly. I gave each and one of them their respective lolas and lolos according to their personality. The purpose? to let them see the various stages of the human life and see in these lolos and lolas their very own lives. true enough we all proceeded to the retreat with so much tears in their eyes that they flooded the tile floors of the retreat center. When i read their narrative report, they said that this was one of the best part of their whole exposure.
This was the actual footage of our photo shoot for their music video on their exit evaluation. most of the time I hold the camera because they must be complete in every shot we take. This was all done for one day. some clips included were actual bloopers during our community exposure including our Operation Ilog which we unclogged the spillway of a certain river with a mountain full of trash

I thought I’ll be ignoring you when you said “TO MAINTAIN THE SEQUENCE AND SUSPENSE, DO NOT SCROLL DOWN IMMEDIATELY OR SCAN BELOW, JUST READ THROUGH AND THROUGH?” pero I’ll have to follow your instructions in the end because youtube took time to fully load the videos.
I personally loved the second video with “Sukob na” in the background the most. It’s so full of happy energy. That goes the same with the first one. Loved the sunset photos and the frozen-mid-air shots. Gusto ko din ng ganyan.
The Bless the Broken road gave me a hint of what you really are. Keep up the good works!
And while I’m here, I’d like to borrow the “Sukob Na” video. I won’t tell you what will I use if for. LOL!

@Chuva.. hahaha loko ka talaga… inalis ko na yung first vid na may nabasag na salamain, nahiya na ako kay malen ahahaha.. baka di pa pumunta yun dito bukas hahaha…uy may iba pala nanood… si diwa at kutz ba yan ? kumusta mo po ako. not worthy ka jan.. lol pagikaw umuwi dito chuvs kukunan kita ng marami shots at igagawa din kita tulad nung kay malen lol.. joke lang… yung footages? magaling tayo mandekwat sa ibat ibng source.. aabutin ka nga lang syam syam… email ko sayo yung iba free stock footages… at kung pano… kakailangin mo sa mga commercials mo.. @Reynz – actually my former students were cryingfrom start to finish, sinabihanko lang sila na hold their emotions kasi baka di nila magampanan yung pinunta dun, pero nung pahuli na wala na akong nagwa, they all cried and even the hardest of all hearts sa mga student kong lalaki natunaw na.
YUng naka focus sa #3 4th year na sya. I havent heard from him since last may because I changed my number. eto kasing mga bata na to pag hindi tatay ang turing sa akin eh kuya, most of the time they will text me about their problems in and out of school and sometimes im carried away so I and my former students made a pact na wala muna makikipag communicate sa akin till after my exam para di ako madistract.till now la pa ako balita sa kanila. pero pwede mo iistok at kasama mo naman si malen eh haha. mababait yang mga bata na yan. at first they were a problem of mine kasi sobrang gugulo pero later they all matured. thats why they were able to execute the programs that I told them…

@Pareng KK, buti naman pinayagan ng China ang vids ngayon.. nakisama ngayon ah.. actually di ko sana ilalagay yun “caution” kaya lang sabi ko baka mawala yung suspense pag nagskip sa sunod sunod hehe.. Pareho tayo ng choice KK.. although the Rascal Flats vid is really very inspiring and tear jerking for me, pero mas sentimental sa akin yung sukob na its because these kids stood up for me during my lowest in my professional career.. syempre di mawawala ang stress sa trabaho pero they were all there for me. Actually i dont treat them as students anymore but as my brothers and sisters, higit pa.. kaya when i put the BG music, i decided that it should be about friendship.. ayan ang resulta.. by all means bro.. that’s what youtube is for.. @Pareng Az, you know bro, dati super bakal ang loob ko.tarantado ako nung HS eh.. actually di nga makapaniwala mga bkada ko ngayon na bumait na ako eh (mabait pa daw haha). kidding aside till now naiyak lang ako sa harap ng talagang mga kaibigan ko or palagi pagwala makakakita… I think it’s a man thing sa atin yun… pero pare pag ganito na ang situasyon tulad nung sa vid sa taas, kahit ano gawin ko noon na pigil, grabe wala ako nagawa. I had 3 male nursing students there who are actually members of a national fraternity and holding very important positions in their chapter pero wala din, mga bumigay na din nung pahuli. di umubra yung padel nila haha. (kumamay kay Az) basta sa pagiging tao parekoy, sama sama tayo! Salamat nga pala sa pag daan… tagay muna!

@Mogli – the “talon” part was so funny. The first take we had, a girl student of mine dropped flat on her butt on the gutter of the pool haha. It took us 15 minutes to persuade her to try again for the second take haha. you can see it very clearly on the video. she’s on the extreme left. mataba pa mandin ka yung bata hahaha.

BTW musta ang first few weeks mo sa page.ph, sabi nung iba kapatid may glitch daw palagi. ako naman few hours lang experience ko unlike sa dati ko server na halos araw araw ata eh offline yung site ko. pero nung minsan naglaho ang domain ko haha. I guess kahit san naman atang webhost ganun nangyayari. sana maayos na ng page ph ang glitches. kawawa naman yung iba na monetized ang blog
