Estudyante BluesWhat if you find out that some of your students are taking drugs? what will you do? Last week I found out that some of my student nurses are hooked on MHCl.(Metamphetamine Hydrochloride) and some of them belong to the “ace league” in the class. we (the professors) were really pushing our ass out to form them into competitive but caring nurses of tomorrow. But how would you feel if these bright students are on their way to perdition? The irony is this…

would I turn them over to the school authority and ruin their promising future? Or would I keep this a secret and help them get over this dirty habit? I am hanging on the balance! Well, everything I do is dictated by the demands of my work.

However, at the end of the day, no matter how frustrated and disappointed I am towards the outcome of my endeavors or of my students for that matter, there is still a realization that empathy should overcome authority… sometimes iron fist tends only to hurt… a gentle tap on the back may do better and turn things around…

Keep Well and God Bless!

About the Catholic Blogger

, a.k.a. "bluepanjeet" has been writing in cyber space since 2005. In 2006, he jump-started his Catholic blogging a few years even before the Catholic Church realized the importance of utilizing social networks in spreading the Gospel. In 2007, in response to a realization of the growing need for Catholic Bloggers online, he officially launched his own self-hosted Catholic blog and called it "On The Wings Of My Dream" or simply OTWOMD which is a metaphor of his favorite psalm in the Bible, Psalm 63. Since then he has been blogging, and sometimes podcasting, for the Catholic Church using his enthusiasm in the New Media, his inclination on visual and digital arts, his passion for the written word and his love for the Catholic Church.
