Children of Yesterday’s Dream

443

This is actually a response post from IFM’s entry called “totoy” which she narrated her experience with a street kid who asked her for alms. With the current situation of our country today, more and more children suffers in the hands not just of enemies but also in the hands of the people who have the duty to protect them. Many people just give birth to these children and let them work on the streets at a very young age, yet can we blame them if there is not enough food on the table and that the Government practically neglects them. Poverty is not only the main issue of Children but safety and protection. The Picture above shows the delicate condition of the Children in the embattled Mindanao. How sad that instead of going to school, these children wait for their fate in the evacuation centers until war halts. Will these children grew up as menace to society based on what they have seen and experienced at their very young age, or will they become Children of Yesterday’s dream? who knows until you act and help them! Stop War and protect these children starting on your very homes and communities.

wow! starring na naman ako dito… seriously, circumstances can really post some blocks in the road of life. how you handle them is up to you kaya i’m really hoping that totoy will get to have his eyes fixed for a better future than just rely on asking alms. those who are supposed to protect children like totoy are accountable of their negligence. gaya ng sinasabi ko parati, may Diyos pa rin.

ifoundmes last blog post..everyone has a story to tell: totoy
