Another Giant typhoon is about to hit the country specifically in the Batanes region. Typhoon Marce

As you can see on the satellite picture above, the typhoon is so huge that it could almost cover the whole country once it lands in Batanes. Eye of the storm was seen 240 KM eastern part of Basco, Batanes as of 10 a.m today with a maximum sustained winds of 140 kilometers per hour at the center of the storm and a gustiness of 170 Km/hr. Public storm signal number 2 has already been raised in the region and will bring rains all over the country in the next few days. These continuous rains can cause damage to agriculture, and the houses in the Batanes Islands made of nipa and cogon might be damaged by the winds. Landslides are also feared to happen all over the country, so be cautious in traveling along Landslide prone areas. PAGASA however warned all types of vessels and aircraft travels to halt as the winds riles up the sea and air. Marce is expected to be at 300 kilometers northeast of Basco Batanes by Thursday morning and at 570 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes by Friday morning. Please pray for the safety of the residence of the Kalinga and Batanes Islands as they experience once again the lash of nature’s wrath.
