Rome and OTWOMD

Have you ever wonder why my blog?s header is that of Rome’s St. Peter’s Basilica? Ever since I was a kid, Rome has been my dream city. It’s not that I want to live there permanently, its just that every Catholic dreams of visiting the holy city once in their lifetime, in my case I?m living that dream even if it?s a remote possibility at this moment. Rome is the epitome of pilgrimage and travel. It is a living museum where the past is fantastically displayed in the present. Rome is not just a cultural heritage, but it is also an earthly mother city for all the Catholics all over the world. Do you know that there is not a single day that I haven?t thought of Rome and the Vatican? It is already in my soul and every time I blog and see my header, it is as if I am there spiritually. But what is it really with Rome that I often relate dreams and ambitions to it? I guess you have to find out for your self.
What?s good about Rome is that it never tires the eyes of travelers with its grandiosity and majestic ambience. The magnificent Coliseum where thousands of Christians died during the persecution is a witness to our thousand-year-old faith as Catholics. The various ruins of ancient cities and palaces of the Caesars are living testimonies of the glorious past of the Senate and the empire. And most important of all, the Vatican city considered as the smallest state in the world and home to the leader of billions of Catholics around the world never ceases to impress tourists. But hey, of course when I go there I make sure that I have already figured out which Rome hotels would I choose for me to stay in during my travel. Of course normally we would look for the Hilton or for the Ritz but there are no such thing in the immediate vicinity of Rome in order to preserve the city?s antiquity. So in order for you to avoid the last minute search for a hotel, try to hunt some in Romaclick.com which is your guide to everything that is Rome.
