Last Wednesday I had my day full packed with errands of sorts. This just proves that I’m not always in front of my computer 24/7 haha. I still have a social life outside the blogosphere and does not spend my time eternally in my blog. Though oftentimes I’m really lazy going to downtown Lucena, still I make it to a point that I would see civilization at least once a month, as to keep myself updated on the World’s hullabaloos. Baka kasi mamaya paglabas ko ng bahay ako na lang pala ang tao sa Mundo just like in the movie I Am Legend haha. Seriously, my day last Wednesday was so exhausting that I felt I was going to faint in the middle of the mall haha. You see I don’t drive our service going to downtown (1) because my license is already expired for almost 3 years now, and that (2) it is more convenient to commute than drive with a privy because of so much traffic. Sarap kaya ng nakaupo ka lang haha. So I spent my day going places inside the mall LOL to attend to my appointments. I had 5 appointments that day (tinalo ko pa ang artista) including a check up with my optometrist, dentist and dermatologist. Sila lang ang mga doktor ko sa buhay ko at wala na ako balak dagdagan pa haha.

So I went to my optometrist to see if the visual grade of my eyes improved. Pero sadly hindi, ganun pa rin ang grado. Matigas kasi ang ulo ko. Sabi na kasi dapat lagi ko sinusuot ang prescription glasses ko pero I always use my shades when I go out.. ayun walang nagbago, malapit na akong mabanlag.

Next stop was at my dentist. My dentist before was my cousin but because she shifted to nursing and did not anymore practiced her license in dentistry, I was forced to look for another dentist who will take care of my teeth. Tamad ako magpadentista talaga kasi nga In my mind was that my cousin was just a phone call away, but now she totally dropped her career leaving us her cousins no choice but to look for an alternative. So at the mercy of the tooth fairy, she led me to Redor Dental Center located at SM Lucena. At first I was hesistant to inquire since I thought the clinic only caters to children. They are the best by the way in children’s dentistry and is very well known here in our city. My nephews and nieces used to go there before they finally left for the states. So in short I went there 2 weeks ago and had my teeth cleaned. Dr. Mylene Redor is my dentist and to my surprise, she’s very accomodating and very easy to talk to. What I like about Dra is that she informs her patients about the things need to be understood and the procedures that needs to be done. That for me is a sign of great service and excellent health care. Some doctors that I worked with in the hospital in the past were either grumpy, lazy or mute. They kept their patients waiting for answers to fall from the sky. But Dra isn’t like that. Actually my plan was just to try the clinic and see if its service fits me. My first time there, I was already impressed the way my dentist lectured me on the current situtation of my oral health and her plans in rehabilitating it. Honestly when I first heard from her the word “rehabilitating” i really thought she’s going to pull my tongue out or pave my teeth with a truckload of cement. Natakot ako haha sabi ko sa sarili ko “ganun na ba kabaho at kalala ang bibig at ngipin ko?” haha. So last wednesday I came back to her and she performed silver fillings on my teeth. Actually kinunan pa nila ngipin ko ng camera. Sabi nila maganda daw kasi ngipin ko pero wala naman kasi ako fetish sa ngipin kaya okay lang kung maganda ba o pangit.. basta ba hindi bungi. Maybe next time I’m going to post a pic of my teeth here once I got hold of the copy from Lyn, their staff. During the filling, Dra. told me in advance that she’s going to put anesthesia once I started to feel the shivers on my nerves. BUt surprisingly I didn’t felt a thing. It’s either my teeth’s laque is so thick that it rendered my gums numb to drilling or Dra’s hand is really gentle and good in dealing with patients. I like to think the latter because the first one is unflattering hehe. after 30 minutes, my teeth is done. I’m going back to her on the third week of august to finish the other side of my teeth.

The pretty staff of Dra Redor, Lyn who makes sure that I will keep my promise of going back to the clinic for follow up. Their staff is so efficient and professional that they run the place like a spa. Very organized and very approacheable. Nahiya pa sya dito magpose hehe.

After my dental appointment, I went to my dermatologist to have a follow up check up with my buni, eczema, psoriasis, leprosy, acne, athletes foot, ring worm and warts hahaha naniwala naman kayo? Actually I have no business hehe sbi ko ko lang yan. Syempre naman, confidentiality of patient’s records is part of health care kaya di ko sa inyo sasabihin kung bakit ako nandiun hehe… sige na nga sabihin ko na, nagpa liposuction ako ng aking leeg at di na ako makatungo sa taba ko. After waiting for 2 hours, Doctora finally came in. She first did a procedure in one client called pin rolling whatever that means… I was so bored waiting for her. The program on the television in the clinic was wowowee, so I got bored the more. Seeing Willie Revillame do his bragging rights makes me want to vomit. So I just read the day’s PDI (Philippine Daily Inquirer) at least three times, front to back, until I was finally called inside the room. Natakot ako kay doctora kasi may inilabas na ultraviolet light. Yung bang ilaw na ginagamit para tingnan ang pera kung fake ba o hindi. Ang buong akala ko sisipatin ni doktora ang mukha ko kung may ninoy ba na ma-aaninag. Siguro nasa itsura ko ang mukhang pera. Then after the awkward follow up checkup, she gave me a bad news, walang prognosis.. medyo nalungkot ako. Padalawa na si doctora na tumingin sa akin, yung una kong doktor eh imp[ertinente kaya ako umalis. Dr. Aranilla on the other hand is very good but because my case is different, she is having difficulty in treating my case. Gawa kasi nung dati kong doktora, mukhang naimmune ata katawan ko sa gamot at mukhang di na tumatalab ang kahit anong brand haha. Any way if worse comes to worst, I’ll just have my face scraped off. Pra wala na akong ipapatingin haha

She talked about the mexican teleserye running on ABS CBN that airs during the afternoon. Sasabihin ko sana eh Pinoy Idol na lang pagusapan namin haha kaya lang nahiya ako.

Sa sobrang inip ko, ilang oras ko tinitigan ang mga pader sa clinic. Halos mabutas na nga sa talas ng aking mga titig.

Hindi ko nabutas yung pader at divider so I just memorized the different brands of soaps and meds on the receptionist’s cabinet.

3 beses ko pinaulit-ulit basahin yung inquirer. pati ata orbituary nabasa ko na din.

at dahil “kay tagal kang hinintay si doctora” naihi na ako. I went to the clinic’s cr and to my surprise its so clean and organized. Nahiya pa akong umihi kasi parang kailangan ko ng hose ng hindi sumayad ang “ihi” ko sa bowl haha. Very girlie ang CR na to… hindi ako tatagal sa bahay ko kung ganito ang CR namin haha. Kulang na lang magdala ako ng unan at kumot at pwede ng matulog sa sahig.

Next in line is an appointment with my official barber. Hehe. Hindi ako banidoso na tao. Kaya lang syempre, once or bimonthly kelangan namang maging responsable ka sa katawan mo. Just because I live in the remote mountanous regions of the province doesnt mean that I should look like a cave man. My hair is so thick already that you can’t anymore see the dundruff forming in my scalp haha. That’s why I needed to have a haircut ASAP last wednesday because the itch is killing me. When my barber asked “yung dati sir?” (Just like before sir?) I immediately nodded. I was thinking of having a semi-bald haircut again but I’m not photogenic with that style, baka kasi mamaya may photo shoot pala ako eh kawawanaman mga fans ko baka mag suicide. So I just let my barber do the stuff. Ang ayaw ko lang sa barbero ko masyado epal haha. Kung ano ano inooffer sa akin, kesyo “sir baka gusto nyo ng hair-spa, ng hair-dye, ng hot-oil, ng hair relax, ng hairwax” at kung ano anong kabadingan ang pinagsasasabi haha Ang totoo nyan, training nila yun syempre para naman kumita rin sila ng komisyon. Pero sa ikli ba naman ng buhok ko kailanagn pa bang i-wax haha. Mukha bang kailangan ng stress tabs ng buho ko at dapat i-relax… okaya naman, blond ba ang buhok ko at kailanagn pang idye? LOL eh natural brown nga buhok ko eh so di na kailangan kulayan. Sa dami na ng beses na pumunta ako dyan sa barbero ko, di na sya nakatanda na ayaw ko ng mga ganun haha. lalo na yung hot oil… nasusuka ako sa amoy. Parang mag-aamoy bukayo at pakaskas ang buhok ko pagkatapos LOL. Di rin ako mahilig magpamasahe kasi madami ako kiliti, isa pa di ko trip yung ako ay nilalamas ng kapwa ko lalaki haha. Libre kasi masahe dun after the haircut pero ako di na ako nagpapamasahe. May mga parte kasi ng katawan na sa palagay ko eh dapat babae lang ang nakakhipo haha.

After my appointments were thru, I remembered that I haven’t eaten my lunch yet so I went to this newly opened restaurant at the ground floor of the mall. I was craving for ricxe and traditional viands so intead of filling my tummy with choleterol soaked fast food, i went to this new resto to try their food. The resto is called Binalot– a reference to Quezon’s tradition of wrapping rice and foods in Banana leaves. As I sat on the table i was aking for waiter for the menu. The waiter is so softspoken that I did not hear what he said. He then oints the menu on the table which tucked beneath the glass cover. The food is great and it is very afordable. The only minus in this restaurant was their service. Very poor service. The waiters and waitresses are all sitting, doing nothing and just waiting for customers to come in. Aside from that, the waiters are not courteus as if they are just talking to someone on the streets. After I ate, I had a hard time getting my bill. I don’t know if the waiter asiggned to me was deaf or blind. I called him several times even to the point of raising my arms as if I was in one of my elementary class again, but to no avail. So instead I just approached the waiter and asked my bill. So  inefficient really. This restaurant is a typical carinderia with no training at all for their staff. As I waited for my change, a call suddenly came up. I remebered I have to call someone on the landline since my cellfone is already low in battery charrge, I asked the counter if I could use their telephone to make a local call but the frowning cashier declined, saying its only for sm… hindi ko alam kung tatawa ako o maiinis haha. Kaya when my change came, sorry no tip for you baby. Manigas ka! haha

The place is visually attractive with good food but with very very bad service and staff training. Mga nakasimangot ang mga waiter at waitress at walang mga ginawa kungdi mag make-up, mag text at magtawanan.

naku tandaan nyo ang resto na to if you ever pass by SM Lucena. Don’t ever eat here. Maiinis ka lang sa serbisyo. Mag takeout na lang kayo. Masarap pa mandin ka ang pagkain at maganda ang presentation pero ang pangit ng service. I repeat ang pangit ng SERBIS! LOL

And then it was already 30 mins past five in the afternoon and I havent thought of a gift for my date yet. Haha oo may kadate ako noong wednesday ng hapon, dalawa sila. Birthday nya kasi so she just celebrated her birthday with the two of us, of her friends. Hehe Special ata kami. hindi kasi mahilig sa maramihang tao yung friend ko kaya kami na lang ang inilabas nya. So before leaving the mall, I went to Goldilocks and Koffee Klutch to look for a cake. Sadly, their cakes are already sold out so I went to red ribbon instead. There I saw delicious cakes… and dun na lang ako bumili. After I bought the cake I went to 7-11 near the coffee blends in downtown Lucena where my friend Robin fetched me. We went to Mugs Cafe where Anto, the Birthday celbrant was waiting for us. Pag pasok ko sa loob ang daming tao, akala ko tuloy bisita nya lahat yun haha. Yun pala random customers lang. Mugs Cafe is where we usually hangout, me, my friends and my family and relatives. We like the place since the food is great, the service is great, the music and band is acoustic and that the ambience is refreshing and not too crowdy. Tsaka family friend nami yung owner so talagang dun kami parati naghahangout magpipnsan. I ordered a Neopolitana Pasta and a Ham and egg Panini.. haha katatapos ko lang lumamon sa Binalot, lumamon na naman ako haha. As usual I just lisetened to my friends’ girl talk and having a hard time relating and deciphering their jargon. So I just focused my attention on the food, the food and the food LOL

As Anto and Robin were talking, I saw a vague image of a girl just beyond the window near our table. Tinitingnan ko kung maganda kasi di ko suot yung salamin ko. Mahaba lang pala ang buhok which is one of my weakness.

Nagulat ako haha, nagyoyosi pala si ineng. turn off tuloy ako lalo. Kababaeng tao eh sunog baga. Sama kaya ng lasa nun pag nakipag leps to leps haha…. at naka uniporme pa LOL yari ka sa Dean mo pag nakita ka LOL

Tonight, one of our friend will be coming home from manila and she wants us to meet her. Tamang tama birthday naman ngayon ng barkada naming si Jeffrey so we will just go there to surprise him to gether with the other repapits including kuya ni Mix. Mamayang gabi ay lamon mode na naman LOL
