3 days before the official opening of the World Youth Day in Sydney Australia that will commence on July 15 till the 20th of this month, OTWOMD has caught sight of the official photos of the preparation being made in the venues of the World Youth Day. Here you will have a glimpse for the first time the behind the scenes preparation and construction of the venues for the WYD Opening Mass, Station of the Cross, Youth Vigil with the Pope and the Final Mass of the WYD. The Australian Government has spend so much for this event that many atheist and non-catholics are protesting against the biggest youth celebration of the world. As of this writing, Pilgrims from all over the globe arrive at the Sydney airport with an average of 1000 young tourists per hour. Feel the excitement as we take a peak of the Photos of the official venues of the World Youth Day 2008—just after the jump

I heard from the news that as many as 3,000 reps from the Phils will be going. Buti nabigyan sila ng Visa. i remember the WYD in Germany when many Pinoys were denied for fear of becoming TNTs after the occasion.

Pareho kami ng napansin ni Meeya. Ganun ba sila ka-open dun, as in open talaga?

I saw some initial pics na di ko pa napopost. grabe ang joy and happiness sa atmosphere. parang yung march natin sa roxas blvd going to luneta na nagsisigawan at nagkakantahan mga kabataan, ganun. naku meeya, i will never exchange my wyd experience for anything else. its like the world united for six whole days.

    hi

i’m impressed with these pix re: construction.

to all of you asking if there was no door, well, of course these is! how can anyone use any toilet without a door?? might as well not put any wall isn’t it???

to prove that there were doors… i was there and used it.

proud to be aussie-ng pinoy :)
