Sugar aisle

145

I was shopping for groceries yesterday when I passed by the sugar aisle. While looking for the right kind of sugar, I heard a mother and a daughter arguing over the kind of sugar they should buy. The Mother insisted that they should go for the brown sugar so that they can save money. Obviously brown sugar is cheaper than the white sugar. But the daughter argued that the whiter the sugar, the better it is for their health, thus she reasoned out that they should buy the whitest sugar in the aisle. I butt-in (sorry I cannot help it) and said the daughter was right. I told the two women that instead of looking for the whitest sugar in the sugar aisle, they should look for the word ?Icumsa 45? instead on the labels. Icumsa 45 is a standard made by International Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis to connote the highest and safest standard of sugar. Icumsa 45 is healthy because the refining process that it goes removes and eradicates bacteria, impurities and contaminants, which are always present in raw sugars that can be detrimental to one?s health. Therefore, the ending is that the mother and daughter finally decided to buy an Icumsa 45 Sugar.
