El Provinciano quiere viajar a Sevilla en Espa?a

Since I took the Spanish language education inside the seminary, I became so fascinated with our conquistador’s culture and homeland, that I am putting Spain in the immediate list of my itinerary in the near future. Seville is the cultural as well as financial capital of Southern Spain. It is where most artists and businessmen converge for hundreds of years which makes Seville as one of Spain?s most popular tourist destination. One interests me about Seville is that it is influenced by three main empires during its history. It was first conquered by the Roman Empire and was named as Hispalis. Second, the Ottoman Empire or the moors captured the city in the year 712 and has become the center of the Moslem controlled Andalusia. Lastly, the Christian empire under Fernando III recaptured it in 1248 wherein they built churches and public buildings to overshadow the Moslem influence. After hundreds of years, these influences are still evident in Seville as one may see the Roman Aqueducts, Moorish walls and Christian Churches still existing within the historic Seville.
Some of the world renowned monuments and landmarks that I want to see are the Seville Cathedral, The Alcazar, the Torre Del Oro, and the Unibersidad de Sevilla which houses the first tobacco factory in Europe. Seville is also know for their beautiful Gardens such as the Parque de los Príncipes, Parque del Alamillo, Parque Amate, Parque Metropolitano de la Cartuja, Jardines de las Delicias, Jardín Americano, Jardín Este, Jardines de Cristina, Jardines Chapina, Jardines de la Buhaira, Jardines de San Telmo, Jardines del Guadalquivir, and Jardines del Valle.
The climate in Seville however is Mediterranean in nature, with oceanic influences. The annual average temperature is 16.2 °C (61 °F), which makes this city one of the warmest in Europe.
Some of the Festivals worth attending and witnessing in Seville are the Semana Santa and the La Feria de Sevilla. Seville is well known for its solemn but beautiful processions during Holy Week and the colorful and lively fair held two weeks after.
I can?t wait to visit Seville and have my Cheap Hotel reservations in Hotels in Seville as early as this year.
Por fin puedo practicar mi español con el pueblo de sevilla
Esperar a que me Sevilla…
