When I had my internship in the Orthopedic Hospital, felt pity among the patients there. Not because of their disabilities, but because of the additional burden that their wheel chairs case them. Do you know that most of these wheel chair ridden patients develop calluses on their hands due to wheel pulling of their own chairs? That is why I was wondering that instead of their families providing them wheel chairs, why not electric scooters instead? Electric Scooters are those motor vehicles/devices that enable a debilitated patient to move around on wheels without the pressure of push and pull that causes callus formation on the hands. In addition, a personal mobility aid that can be used both in the home and in outdoors.
