Ang Tunay na Kalayaan

Sabi nila ang kalayaan day ay isang kayamanan kahit kelan ay di matutumbasan ng pera. Sang ayon ako dito sapagkat ang bawat nilalang, maging tao man o hayop ay binigyan ng ganitong biyaya ng maykapal. Ang depenisyon ng kalayaan para sa marami ay ang “Gumalaw, magsalita at gumawa ng anumang bagay ng walang uri ng paghahadlang o pagkitil”
Ngunit tila simula nang tayo ay lumaya sa kamay ng dayuhan isang daan at sampung taon na ang nakakaraan, ay tila inaabuso natin ang ating kalayaan. Makikita natin ito sa ibat ibang aspeto ng ating lipunan.
Sa Telebisyon, malayang naipapalabas ng mga estasyon ang mga malalaswa at bayolenteng panoorin sa harap ng mga bata.
Sa politika, malaya nilang nagagawa ang nais nilang gawin, malaya silang ipitin ang mga nais ipitin, at malaya nilang nakukuha ang mga kayamanaang kanilang nais angkinin.
Sa ating Sandatahang lakas, malaya nilang napapatay ang mga taong tinuturing nilang laban sa gobyerno at malaya din silang nakakapag akusa at kulong ng mga taong sa kanilang wari ay mga subersibo na wala man lang sapat na batayan upang patunayan ang mga ito.
Sa ating mga eskuwelahan at unibersidad, malaya ang mga guro at mga propesor na ibagsak ang mga estudyante sa tingin nila ay mas matalino sa kanila at mas may alam, tila ayaw papatalo sa mga taong likas na biniyayaan ng talino ng higit sa kanila.
Sa ating mga kababayan, malaya silang nakakapagnakaw, nakakapanamantala ng kababaihan, nakakapambugbog ng mga bata at nakakahila pababa ng mga taong umaangat dahil sa sariling kapakanan.
Kung ito nga ba ang ating kalayaan ay ayaw ko na. Sapagkat ang kalaayan ay may kaakibat na limitasyon ayon sa kabutihan ng nakararami. Kung sa sariling pamamahay natin o sa maliliit na mundong ginagalawan natin ay di natin maipatupad ang tunay na ibig sabihin ng kalayaan, ay ano pa at ipinagdidiwang natin ang pambansang araw ng kalayaan? ang kalayaan ay dapat may kasamang “Malayang Isipan” upang maging matatag lalo ang demokrasyang ating pinagpipitagan.
