Tonight, the battle begins between Celtics and Lakers in the 2008 NBA Finals

302

For the 11th time, Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics will meet again, head to head with their own star players in the person of Kevin Grant and Kobe Bryant. The NBA has called this historic finals of 7 games as tradition. Out of the 10 championships in the past, Celtics bagged the 8 titles, while 2 of the championship was credited to Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Magic Johnson in 1985 and 1987. Tonight at 9 PM EST (9 am Manila time), the tradition begins. Who will win the game 7? or will it even reach game 7? This year, the tradition begins anew. For the first time since 1998, the Finals won’t feature a team with either Shaquille O’Neal or Tim Duncan. This will be Kobe Bryant’s first Finals as the Lakers’ main man. For Boston’s Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, this will be their first Finals. NBA Finals game sked is below. Also watch this video teaser from the NBA
